Well not sure I am providing any useful info or not but sanfordized is only on their gold buckle jeans......not the originals or the 47mwzs. Tat being said I have two pair of the gold buckle and they fit and look completely different.

Product details state "Item model number: 47MWZPW." The 47s are an updated version of the 13MWZ from 1947, NOT the time of Wrangler's foundation, when jeans became popular after Dude Ranches of the 20s and 30s and how they were required for western worker during WW2. 13 Stands for either the 13th test pants in 1947 AND the weight of the denim used. They became "cool" in the 50s and 60s. MWZ stands for Men's With Zipper. The 2016 47s add a more comfortable waist with more room in the thighs as well as a ring-spun and broken twill denim that not only last 20% longer but is more comfortable too. However, they only have 4 pockets and are 3/4'' lower on your belly. It is often asked if these are "stretch" pants. To a small figurative degree, they are. But literally not, no spandex. From all angles, 47MWZ is the upgraded and far better version of 13MWZ. The PW stands for Pre-Washed for a less rigid feel and no shrinkage. Buy the Rigid Fit if you want shrink to fit jeans. And these are the Regular Fit (not Slim) version. These are made to fit over boots (Tucson Stewarts, of course, the last American hand-made boots). Proven #1 best bargain in jeans. The ARIAT Men's Rebar M4's are slightly better but for a higher price. Wranglers are primarily made in Mexico but some are made in Nicaragua or Bangladesh (the last American plant recently closed down). Mexico's are a more consistent fit. Prices bounce around on Amazon, check C^3. I paid $30. Amazon often mixes reviews and questions for different products, so you need to review the product description to confirm.

You will get holes where the pockets attach to the seat. But this will happen sooner than the return time on Amazon. So just return and continue the search for good durable jeans.
