Second House from the Corner

This was a great book to read and I am glad it was a favorable ending.

I really enjoyed this book.I could not wait to get to the end and I was so happy that Felicia and her husband came together.

I liked the different layers of the main character. Lots of twists & turns. 3 things however left me puzzled. One putting the house up to bail out the long lost friend's boyfriend and nothing becomes of it. He just shows up for court so all is fine? What did Martin go to jail for? The ending generated more questions than provided a conclusion. Maybe the author left it open ended because she is working on a sequel 🤔 Intriguing. Looking forward to reading more.

Great read. Good story of redemption and sacrifice. Interesting relationship drama that keeps the reader’s interest. Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

“Ummmmmm what”!?!? Is the phrase I said after reading the last words and likely the phrase I said most while reading this book. The main character is a mess...she has never healed from her past and continues to make bad decisions in her present. I was drawn in to this story with all of the “wow” plots but the last bit of the book could’ve been better for me. The very end was fine but some things needed to be wrapped up and answered and I was left hanging. There were Names mentioned but their identity was not revealed...not a fan of that. Overall, very intriguing story
