I was skeptical but it worked on the first try!
After reading all the negative reviews i was hesitant about buying this. Ordered it anyway and my Xbox one immediately read discs now. I've been repairing game consoles for a long time, never repaired an xbox one before, only up to PS4s. I used to flash xbox 360 drives back in the day too so i know that game disc drives boards are paired with motherboards unless you can reflash them.I swapped the board in my broken drive to the new drive, this requires desoldering just 2 easy to get to wires and soldering your board to the new drive (I recommend using a Pinecil soldering iron but any will do). Installed my drive back into the xbox and my games are installing fine at a good speed.There's one 1-star review where the person's xbox can read movies but not games. This is because the board wasnt swapped. The instructions in the box tell you that this will happen if you dont swap the board.If still having issues reading discs make sure the ribbon is seated correctly. There's a guide in the wide ribbon slot to align the ribbon in successfully.Drive looked new. Great purchase to revive an old Xbox one.

No good!
I put the new drive into my xbox one. It will not accept the disks! They go about 3/4 of the way in and no further. I am very disappointed!

CD drive replacement
Worked great but need to know how to Sauder in old xbox circuit board ...wich I do so no biggie ...great for the money

Replacement works great on my Xbox One
Purchased this DVD drive to replace my non-functioning DVD drive on my Xbox One 2013. You just have to ensure you swap the daughter board from the old drive to this one. Lots of good YouTube videos on how to do this with a little bit of soldering.

Maybe it works...
I installed it per instructions. Swapped the boards. No problems with any of it. My console will play BlueRay movies only and it didn't before. But game disks still won't work. So, I'm not sure what's going on now. It might be the drive...I'll report back when/if I figure it out. Might just toss it.

Great deal and worked perfectly
As long as you have some knowledge of electronics it’s a very easy swap and they provide detailed instructions on how to swap over the original PCB, completed the swap and installed it and it worked great! My games now read and play!

Unfortunate waste of money
Swapped the boards like it said to and like everyone else. Put it all back together, xbox runs fine. Tried a game, a Blu-ray and a dvd. Won't even try spinning it up. Doesn't even recognize a disk in the drive.

The product is a good replacement part fits as it should and the instructions for new repair artists to be are strait forward.Happy gaming
