ThinkGeek Laboratory Beaker Extra Large Mug 900mL

As advertised, but when I took it out of the box the white graduations were discolored with dark silver gray edge smears. I thought it was defective and I was about to return it, but I washed it with Dawn dish soap, about three times, and the discoloration washed away, leaving crisp white graduation marks. I like it, but it would be better for me if the handle was wider from top to bottom, so the I could put all four fingers through it. The handle is a little small for the size of the beaker.

Capacious & useful: the pouring lip works well. We've boiled water in it in the microwave with no ill effects (like cracking) and it stands up to the dishwasher. The handle is a little delicate-looking but has held up well so far. One esthetic criticism: when the handle was joined to the body, the writing on the side was darkened in an unsightly manner by the high heat.

This is very light weight. It has measurements in both Metric (900ml) and U.S (4 cups). It was larger than I expected, (my fault) but it is so much lighter than my 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup, that I decided to keep it.***For those who think the reviews on this site may be rigged....Please note: I Do Not receive any discounts for my reviews. Too bad it's so hard to find such a capacious beverage holder.

This mug is crap. The knife I was stirring it with fell into it when empty and it blew out the bottom. DO NOT BUY. I should have learned after the incident with the 400 ml mug breaking but I thought it was a fluke. It apparently is not.

Extremely fragile.
