I used these to make quick connects for a 9500 pound winch on my truck. I have it set up to be removable and wanted to use it on the front or rear hitch mount. This set was fairly easy to install if you have an average shop setup. I crimped 4 gauge wire into them and then soldered the connections to insure durability. You will need a vise to crimp the connectors as they are pretty stiff but were not damaged by heating them to add solder. I did have a little trouble getting the connectors to push far enough into the plastic housing to clip into place, especially after crimping the wire which made them wider. I had to use a little silicon spray to get them to push in far enough to stay in place. The connection between the two units seem to be solid and I did not have any loss of voltage when I put a meter on them. They hold solid but will come apart with a normal amount of effort. I will see how they hold up but my first impression is favorable and winch works using these connections.

Overall quality is good and at a very low price. The plastic housing is thick, solid and of good quality. Makes a solid connection with my BYD Lifepo4 batter pack and I really like the caps. Will more like use the caps on the Anderson connector on my battery. The instruction included were very clear on how to orient the lugs as I was a bit unsure. The only issue I had was crimping the lugs. These guys are thick. I believe they are tinned copper as I could see the copper coloration after crimping. If you have access to a hydraulic crimper I would strongly suggest it. I had a hammer type and it took me about 10 wacks with a small sledge hammer to make a solid connection. Even then it was not the best but since my installation is stationary and there will be no vibrations it should hold.

Absolutely great but these are not meant to connect with the Anderson branded product.

I used the HYCLAT 2-4 Gauge Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect to make it easier to mount/unmount a Viper 12K winch on my Nissan Titan Pro-4x, and these connectors make it a breeze. I added connectors into the 2-gauge wiring that came with the winch using a hydraulic crimper, put split-loom tubing over the wires for additional chafing/short protection and installed the wiring from the battery to the bottom of the radiator (where one of these connectors hangs). When the winch is not in use, I just disconnect these connectors and install the provided plug in the connector hanging by the radiator, and it is protected from mud and snow and ready for use the next time I need the winch. Slide the winch into the Curt front hitch, slide in the hitch pin and clip, pull the plug out of the connector on the truck and slide in the connector from the winch - done!The only con - I wish the stainless wires used to keep the plugs with the connector were about an inch longer - they are just a LITTLE too short to make inserting the plug into the connector as easy as it might otherwise be.Update 2/12/2024 (5 years):These Hyclat quick-connects are still going strong - no issues with them, and they are still making it super-easy to connect and disconnect my Viper 12k winch.

I love these Anderson connectors. It makes it super simple to remove my amplifier on top of my custom sub box. I have a beauty panel covering it all and it takes up a lot of the trunk on my 22 540i and the battery is in the rear. So I have to have easy access to the back. The build quality of these connectors are really nice and hold up well. It is super easy and fast to remove my amplifier.

Good quality and muuuuuuuch cheaper than buying them at a local auto parts store. I use them in sub zero temperatures with no problems. They also come with the nice cover that the auto parts store ones do not have!
