Love it!
This speaker is awesome! My only complaint is I wish it was a tad bit louder. It’s a really well made speaker and it’s the perfect size to tote to the swimming pool and any other event you might need to go to.

Portability over bulky and heavy. Take your pick
I happen to like the speaker a lot. Much better than the other Bluetooth speaker I own. Despite the size, brand, and listening to anything it’s really good. Even at full blast. While the size makes it easy to take anywhere, it does lack on bigger and more room filling surround sound. In real life resting the actual power watts is 12, not 50! Amazon needs to correct that typo. I know that because I own a sound-core speaker and it has the same output watts. The one thing I especially like is the colored lights. Very cool! Other than that, the speaker connects to any device easily and works well with anything. In real world testing, I have not spent an entire day listening to music per the job. With that being said, it does seem to have a solid battery life. No complaints here! As a consumer, I tend to take care of things that aren’t cheap and do my best to keep them in good condition no matter if it’s big, small, heavy or lightweight.

Small and mighty.
I liked the sound both for music and podcasts, so did the family, so bought one for each of us. I didn't realize you can connect 2 speakers together via Bluetooth for a bigger sound.

Decent speaker when it works
The speaker itself seems to be okay. Sound quality is decent for a small, portable speaker. After fully charging before the first use, the battery has lasted well and hasn't been recharged for a few days. It has been used with a laptop to watch shows and I don't know how many hours of actual use it has gotten, but we have no complaints there.Unfortunately, this speaker did not work with Windows 10. The sound would intermittently cut out. Many attempts at troubleshooting were tried with no success in resolving this issue. The drivers are automatically installed for windows and Altec Lansing does not publicly offer any drivers for the device. I called them and explained the situation and they did not have any suggestions other than to contact Microsoft. I really don't expect Microsoft is going to do anything about it and I suggest that Altec Lansing contacts Microsoft to work with them on supporting their device. I don't think the end consumer has any place trying to develop Microsoft support for an Altec Lansing, guys. If you wish to hire me to mediate communication between you two, please feel free to reach out.In the meantime, the device works as expected on Ubuntu 22.04. Unfortunately, the proprietary DRM implemented by streaming services does not support devices running linux very well. So now we have working speakers and video that intermittently drops because we have to use this operating system for the speaker to work while streaming. Which was the reason the speaker was purchased to begin with. This whole experience could serve as a case study as to how proprietary software ultimately screws the consumer at the cost of your own time and money. I don't care if it is the fault of Microsoft or Altect Lansing. That's between you to figure out. Based in the time troubleshooting to no avail and the cost of the item, I really can't recommend purchasing if you intend to use this with a Windows machine. This issue does not seem to be linkted to Windows, but it is also a problem for Ubuntu devices. I don't recommend purchasing.

2021-2025 still ticking strong
This thing is 4 years old and we've put it through hell and it still holds strong. Lost it and left it outside in a cart that was getting wet and weathered all summer season and still worked like new when I tryed it. Aktec Lansing speakers are the best there is. Withstand water...drops... shaving sounds and incredible base. The sound is my favorite part, they always come with carabeaners and c charging ports. I only buy Alex Lansing speakers now. They last forever.
