Omega Bites

Living in Central New York we have very long and dry winters. Willow came to me after my sister suddenly passed away a few months ago and I immediately started her on one of these and one of the Zesty Paw senior multivitamin daily. I figured the blend of the two would do a great job and it has. She's 42 pounds and I feel one of each is more than sufficient for her needs. Each dog is different. Despite what I felt she would view as a treat, Willow just does not want to take these as treats. So I take about 3 ounces of high-quality wet food and blend it in there. Works like a charm and it also helps conceal her daily medication. I've had her for about four months now and she gets brushed daily and it's hard to necessarily tell how much difference something makes. One of my friends was over the other day and he could not get over how soft her coat was considering she's a working class dog as a Dutch Shepherd living in a Central New York winter. I would recommend without hesitation. However, I think it's best used with their multi formula type supplement which already has a certain degree of skin and coat supplement in it. I found one of each for her blended in a very small amount of wet food has made her coat beautiful and not a iota of dandruff as her former vet noted in her record. It is expensive compared to other things you can purchase, but I'd rather spend a few extra dollars on a supplement versus a couple hundred dollars at the vet's office because she's nipping at herself because of dry skin. That one vet visit and follow up visit would cost more than a one year supply of this which would likely prevent issues unless your dog has a serious skin issue. This is great for dogs that may be prone to it especially in the winter.

If your pup is suffering from dry, flaky, itching, skin this product is a MUST !!! So I am a very proud dog parent of a 1 year old Chi Mix, named Bambi! She is only the sweetest thing in the world! She was rescued from a kill shelter two days before being euthanized! Now she has the happiest of lives and is a pure bundle of joy! Anyways, back to the reason I ordered these. Ever since the warm weather hit, our poor baby has been suffering from dry, flaky, itchy, and patchy fur and skin! We took her to the vet she tested negative for everything, and was put on flea and tick medicine just Incase, even though she had no signs of that. She was also given an allergy shot. The itching subsided but her dry and flaky skin persisted. My mom and sister recommended an Omega 3 supplement because they told me maybe she is not getting enjough omega 3s in her diet. So after doing a bunch of research, I stumbled upon Zesty Paws and boy did I make the right choice! First of all, I love that these are a chew and not a pill! Anyone know how difficult it is to give your pup a pill?? No thanks. Okay so, not only are they a treat, but Bambi LOVES Them! Check out the photos of her sitting and wagging her tail when she sees the container! She goes absolutely nuts for them! We usually give it to her at night before she gets her “Greeny” tooth treat for her teeth! It is the perfect routine and also lets her know it is almost Bedtime ! Second, they ingredients are such high quality and they do NOT smell like fish! They smell like a delicious peanut butter biscuit and they are so soft and do not break in the container ! I was shocked they do not smell like fish, I totally assumed they would! Major Bonus! Okay, last point, one thing to keep in mind, when Bambi bites into it, the treat does crumble only a little, nothing crazy, but totally expected, so just keep in mind when you give it to your fur baby! I am just usually there to catch the crumbs when she bites into it!

We give them daily based on the weight recommendations . He takes 2 per day. I cannot express enough how much these have helped with our pit bull’s skin issues. Pits are genetically predisposed to a lot of different skin issues. He does not have fleas or ear mites. Ours was missing patches of hair due to over scratching, and he stunk to high heaven. If you wanted to pet/scratch him, it would snow dry skin flakes, and your hand would be infused with his strong toe cheese small. His paw pads and elbow would crack open and bleed. His ears bother him a lot, and he doesn’t have mites, etc. He was always so problematic, and he stunk SO bad. It’s sad when the snuggliest, cuddliest dog in the world comes to you, and you don’t want be near him, much less touch him because he smells so bad and is bleeding. I did extensive research on the issues our big boy was experiencing (finally) and on what might be able to help him. Is was surprised when I found this product. A supplement that doesn’t include any kind of drug, geared to help the skin and coat, not overly expensive.. We did not try other supplements before this, but we tried changing his diet, different soaps, oils, even ACV in his water. Only 11 DAYS on these and he doesn’t stink At ALL, I mean zero. His coat is becoming soft again, his shine is coming back, the flakes are gone, his paw crack closed up, his hair that he scratched off above his eye is growing back. He scratches way less and even his ears are less inflamed. If you have a dog with bad skin issues, and you know it’s not parasitic, or anything disease related, I would recommend these after doing thorough research on the breed of your dog, or even seeing a vet. I chose these because fish oil is a natural anti-inflammatory and I don’t want him on steroids or anything like that. I am so glad these are available and I’m now on a monthly subscription! I’ll update again in a couple of months. 🥳🥳🥳

I got these to help promote healthy hair growth in my golden retriever puppy. I definitely saw an increase in his hair length but I’m not sure if that was attributed to the vitamins or his age (he is approaching 6 mo now). I definitely think this helped his skin though, as he is less itchy than before starting these. He doesn’t even view these as vitamins or supplements but as yummy treats instead. I ask him everyday “do you want your vitamin??” and he runs over and jumps trying to get one of these chews! The scent isn’t my favorite as far as human smells go, but the pup sure loves it. Would definitely recommend, especially if your furry friend is a long haired breed or has a distinctive coat that requires upkeep.

These Zesty Paws chews are amazing! My dog has always had a dry coat, and since starting these omega-3 supplements, her fur has become noticeably shinier and healthier. The itching and shedding have also reduced a lot. What I really appreciate is that she actually loves the flavor—no fuss at all during feeding. The ingredients are clean and beneficial, and I love that it supports skin, heart, and joint health too. I received my order fast and everything was well-packaged. I’m super happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it to other pet parents!

I bought this because my over 100lb lab has dry skin, stemming from our climate, and how much he LOVES to be outside and getting extremely dirty, which in turn I have to bathe him more. I used to use the salmon oil version for my other dog which was great also, until we found that the reason for his skin dullness was due to hypothyroidism (which is treatable). Anyways, when I found these bites/treats, they seemed PERFECT for my lab. Any skin issue immediately vanished, and I truly notice a difference in his skin health and his coat. His coat is ALWAYS very shiny and soft, even when he’s been outside being crazy. I highly recommend this product. Even when I ran out and had to wait a few days to get more product in, I noticed a difference in his skin and coat (going back to how it originally was). When I got more in and started the routine again, he looked amazing again! Truly amazing.

I'm giving this 3 stars because it's worked but not totally for my intended use. I have a 2 year old staffie with major dry skin that causes her to have bad dandruff. Pro's: - dog likes them - worked great for unintended use. I rescued my girl and a week later found out she had heartworms. Part of her treatment required shaving 2 squares on her back for the injection sites. After 2 month I didn't think she'd get hair back. She had a few little ones coming in but was mostly bare skin. Well after 1 week of taking these (2 daily, she's 50#) her hairs has grown back. Not a little but her shaved spots are almost totally filled in. 'm sure in another week it will all be grown back. - her dry skin does seem better but still has dandruff but not as bad. - her coat is super soft and shinny with this supplement Con's: - cost is high to give this daily (2 chews daily per her weight). I would buy again if it went on prime deals but for the regular cost I wouldn't give it daily. - hasn't totally solved her dandruff though has helped. Overall it's good and could probably be a 4 if it weren't for the cost. However that said my dog doesn't have severe issue and nothing that needs veterinarian checks. But for a dog who may be suffering from more extensive skin and coat issues I would highly recommend at the least trying this product just be sure to follow the weight guidelines for dosage.

I have bought this product 5 times in 2021 alone. It’s a staple for our family. We have 2 Pomeranians and a Chihuahua. Our 16 year old chihuahua Rupert has had delicate skin since we adopted him 4 years ago. He was constantly flaking dandruff onto everything we own but worse, he was always itchy. His scratching would keep us up all night. We tried so many things including oatmeal baths and omega 3. This is the only product all 3 dogs get excited about. When we let them out in the morning, they run back inside and wait outside our pantry door. All I have to say is “you want your vitamin now?” And they’re all spinning excitedly. The excessive scratching has almost completely subsided and the poms coats are so shiny. As a Canadian I am often sceptical of products made in the USA for my dogs but I read the reviews and figured I’d try it out. Now we buy it regularly. Hope this helps! It’s worked for us, and our dogs love them. Just a tip for small dogs like ours - I break the pieces up for safety.

Just receive it and give a bite to my puppy! He loves it! My Pomeranian boy start his monkey phase, shedding a lot! Hope this product help to grow his adult fur as fast as possible! Will update the review about the result.

What I like about this product is it definitely smells better than most, I bought other similar treats before and my dogs hated the taste. I've noticed a shine on their coat within a week , and they're not itching as much. I'm also curious to see how it's going to work on their nails. So I'll update once I do know. There is 90 in a bottle, I do wish that there were more because it cost $55 and can get expensive.

This product may work well for some dogs, but it gave my pup diarrhea. I gave Brandy 1/2 a chew twice a day and it gave him severe diarrhea. I waited a few days and tried 1/2 a chew a day and still diarrhea. I discontinued. After a 2 month break, I tried 1/3rd of a chew once a day and after about 4 days his stools were watery, so I will not give him this product again.
