All in all, not a bad camera and client software for the price.
I purchased this camera and the Reolink brand based on cost and reviews, to replace my older 1080P Hikvision and AXIS cameras. I find the optical zoom and 4K color quality great, and as features good as an older AXIS brand I had used for years. It was larger than I anticipated and I had to modify my old camera base to get it to fit. I have purchased two more Reolink 4K dome cameras for a better fit under the eaves of my home and purchased the Reolink brand bases for each, which I recommend, for the cabling and connectors are bulky to fit in the base so their brand had more room inside than cheaper aftermarket ones.I use SD cards only and have had great results with those over the years, so no NVR to mess with for I have a POE switch to power cameras via CAT6 cable. The setup of this camera and their dome units was real easy using their APP or PC, I also view and playback on my desktop PC, all client software is free. The AI pet, person, and vehicle detection identification works better than other brands I have tried so, as of this post, I am pleased as to how well these features works. All in all, not a bad camera and client software for the price, so that is why I have been moving forward with replacing my old cameras with this brand, using variations of their 4K models for where and why I am placing cameras. My concerns are security of the cameras of getting hacked and I am having issues with connecting to them off site from time to time, for sometimes they connect, other times they don't. I am still looking into that and I think cellular connection quality impact that. Also, I wish they had adjustable back light compensation and WDR. They do time lapse recording which I enjoy using but playback of those can be very slow, for the camera to compile the clip can take as long as 10 minutes, but other brands of cameras I have used seem to be that way.Reolink support is like other brands, in that it's somewhat lacking and you play hunt and find on the web to get an answer. There is no documentation that comes with this camera, all is online only. I have experience with networking cameras so I didn't have any problems with setup, for it is very straight forward using the APP.

Works with ease, playback and all, over your phone! Love it!!
Purchased these wired Reolink cameras (3) and a Reolink doorbell camera to replace a crapp@#y ARLO wireless system. Suggest you go online and view a bunch of YouTube videos that compare the Reolink to other cameras. In the end, this was the best quality and price (best bang for the buck) that I found. "THE" hardest part of the install was running the ethernet cables. My kid helped me and after a 1/2 day, BAM, all cables run and cameras mounted and connected (click). Of course, I connected ALL cameras to the provided DVR and my puter and verified they all worked (including the cables) and all was well. I tested camera video via my cell phone app, worked the first time and just perfect! NO ISSUES! Wowzers!! I must say I was really happy. After cable runs and physical installation, I verified each camera using my phone app (while on the ladder) and adjusted each camera, LIVE, with very little lag. I have to say, after fighting with ARLO cameras 2, 5, 10, sec to multi-min lag, the near zero lag of the Reolink was soooooo wonderful! Been using the cameras for several months now! Rain, cold, heat, no issues. I did have to fight a little with the no-detection zones as every bug or tree shadow movement triggered an alert. My backyard alerts are still a little problematic due to camera placement hear a shade that moves into no-detections zones if its really windy. But front and driveway cameras work great and alert me correctly when my kid comes home or I get a delivery! One time, as noted in my Reolink doorbell camera, I actually had a conversation with a lady who went to the wrong house .... and I was in another State!! You can also speak through this camera and listen to all the night creatures many sounds. Recording is just fantastic and you can playback via the computer or your phone. I have a computer switch so I can switch between multiple computers and the DVR. One note on this, for some reason, the DVR mouse would not switch, so I have a seperate USB mouse for the DVR but at least audio (mono) and video (one monitor) switch. I had to get a phono to mini adaptor to get audio into my switch. Bottom line, great camera and FREE video monitoring via your cell phone! Goodby ARLO $10/m and HELLO ReoLink FREE DVR! Note you can subscribe to Reolink "cloud" services, but why? The DVR holds a weeks worth of video and I have mine running 24/7 (not just on triggers like most wireless systems). It just overwrites older days video.
