They are great!!
It was difficult to find this size knitting needles - I was so excited that once again, Amazon saved the day! I am using these to knit doll clothing for my granddaughter! They are great!!

Too Awkward
I'm a circular devotee, so when I saw these 9" ones, I thought I'd never have to use DPNs again! However, after trying these out, I would rather use DPNs or Magic loop, or two circulars. The needle part is too small to grasp comfortably to use. Great idea, but EZ was right when she said that anything under a 16" was too awkward.

Just ok, buy Hiya.
Purchased this and the Hiya Hiya stainless with a straight shank at the same time to compare. This was not my favorite. The bamboo grabs the yarn a little more than is helpful for such a small working space. The bent shank also makes me feel like there is less space to get a good grip. It certainly does the job OK, I just won't likely purchase another.

Five Stars
These smaller circular knitting needles are great for knitting socks and baby hats.

Not everyone will like bamboo knitting needles
Not everyone will like bamboo knitting needles, but I do so it works well for me. Also the plus side of these kind of needles is that they are airport friendly. It does take time to get used to, if you are not used to using bamboo. I tried other materials and bamboo was the best one for me.

A cure for ladders!
I own 2 pairs of these tiny circulars and use them for socks quite often. I've been knitting for over 14 years and have used my fair share of dpn's. It doesn't matter how tight I pull the last and first sts between dpn's I always manage to end up with ladders running down my plain st st socks! I like magic loop too, but don't love the extra long cord to have to deal with such tiny sts. These dpn's make flawless st st and are pretty effortless to knit with. It does take some time to get used to these tiny needles, depending on the size of your hands they may even be too small for you. The only way of knowing for sure is to buy a pair and try them out!
