The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System: Ren Zha Fanpai Zijiu Xitong (Novel) Vol. 1

Funny, heart-wrenching, emotional, it asks a lot of deep questions that one would associate with a sombre narration but instead, the narrator subverts that expectation with his comedic monologues that frankly most of us at some point have had, reading any sort of novel. It's over the top yet somehow still grounded in reality. The larger than life characters somehow feel more humane than a lot characters that are supposed to mimic real life in many other stories. The first novel by MXTX, it has a special place in my heart. No matter how many times you read and reread it you'll always find new little details in each reading that'll blow your mind, further enriching the story. A must-read. And if nothing else, do it for Luo Binghe!

Scum Villain by MXTX is a really good novel. In fact it's my favorite out of all her three novels. It's fun, emotional and very well written. The main pairing is my jam💗. Love it so much ❤️❤️

MXTX is such an author like her stories are always so great and i think svsss was the best but that's my take because I like system type of stories and AAAH ITS SO GOOD 100% RECOMMENDED

I was not sure if I would like this since I have never read a translated novel and hence wasn’t sure if the story would come across easily but it did!! Everything was perfectly explained and there was so much depth to the characters that we couldn’t find in the animated series. I did miss the protagonist's funny inner voice which while there in the book didn’t seem to be upto the same level since we couldn’t hear the shock and emotions as we could in the animated version. On the whole though I absolutely loved the novel and am eagerly waiting for the 2nd volume. The glossary and other info on the back helped a lot and the book was translated without errors(in the English language) which made me very happy. The plot in itself is more or less same as the animated version with a little bit more detail and was completely captivating !!! I definitely recommend the book to anyone who likes the animated version and to anyone with a general interest in this genre!
