Very sturdy skateboard and easy to use love it

I ordered this board on the 4th of Feb and it arrived on the 15th which is good for delivery, however, I was astonished to find when I got on the board I did 1 ollie...1 ollie and the board cracked instantly, as a result of this I hit my head and bailed on to the floor, the board is very low quality with the grip tape coming off slightly on my board, I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying this board, I have no doubt in my mind that if I had taken this to my local skatepark I could have done some serious damage, the board snapped going down my road as I was so excited to ride the new board. I have actually emailed TGM through the website and the "contact seller" part on amazon and have heard nothing back. If you want to buy a decent board that won't break you'd be better off buying the tony hawk 180 complete or one that isn't made of plywood. I will be contacting amazon

For under $40 the board rolls great. Made in china, almost of course. I'd planned to get an SCSK8 board assembled in the US and let the kid cover it in his own stickers. He SOOOOO loved the graphics on this I relented but will probably get the SCSK8 for me to ride with him. Anyhow, this board has VERY stiff bushings so it's tough for my 6yr olds 70lbs of body to turn it until we both loosened the nut ~and~ I put my extra 100lbs of weight on the bushings to start loosening them up. If you like a board the turns tight circles you'll probably have to change out the bushings though we'll see if these break in better. We tightened the wheels up a bit to help my tall 6 year old learn his balance. The wheels have a very light 'banded' texture to them- I'd expect they'd be smooth. I expect it will wear off quickly, though. The board has a pronounced curve to the center, presumably to aid doing flips. It doesn't seem to inhibit his ability to feel comfortable finding his footing and probably helps him be able to get it to turn due to the extra leverage. The tape is grippy- doesn't feel overly so but I haven't ridden a skateboard like this in 25 years, so what do I know about rating grip tape? =D

Cheap, but not worth it. I bought this board for my 7yo son to learn on. Looked okay at first glance, and something that he could learn on. However, I noticed that the board steers it self to one side. Also, the bushings on the board are super hard and my son, who is only 45lbs, could not generate enough force to steer it without leaning over to the point of falling over. Both of these qualities make this board no good to learn on and adds frustration to a new skaters learning curve. Bushings are easy enough to fix. Bought better/softer bushings at the skate shop for $5. Upon installing the bushings I noticed why the board steered itself to the side. The alignment of one of the trucks was way off, with a several degree turn to one side at neutral. (see pic) The pass through hole for the kingpin was drilled WAY off center (see pic) which is what caused the bad alignment. The other truck was not nearly as bad, the hole for the kingpin was center enough by eyeball, but definitely not dead center. Looks like the trucks were drilled free hand rather than with a centering jig/apparatus. The poorly drilled trucks are not an easy fix, therefore I cannot recommend this product. Pro: Cheap, Nice graphics, decent deck and grip tape job Con: Off center truck alignment causes board to steer to one side significantly. Bushings too hard for lighter riders to turn properly.
