Q: Can this be used in the direct sum all day without melting ?

Mine is in the shade all day outside so cannot say but the quality is very good for the price

Q: what is the thickness of this plastic in mils or millimeters?

I don't know, but to me it was too thick. It was stiff to lay out on the table and when folding it up to put away it was bulky.

Q: How do I get the ugly creases out of it?

I throw all my vinyl/PEVA tablecloths into the dryer with a hot damp towel. Works like a charm!
