There are some great projects in this book. Worth the purchase! I’m a fairly experienced hobby builder and I had some trouble with instructions in a few places but I was able to make my way through. A rookie should steer clear of this book. DO NOT expect the example pictures to always match the instructions or dimensions. Just follow the cut list and instructions and you’ll be fine.

The book is fine and has the material lists and cuts needed. I just wish I didn't have to buy multiple books to do all of the projects I am looking for. I also wish they would include some sort of pull out full size traceable grid pattern instead of having to figure out how to enlarge / scale up the pattern for shaped pieces. Otherwise the book is fine.

Which is not to say it is 'bad,' only to say that if you want to make something innovative or very interesting, you probably should look elsewhere or design it yourself. Still, it is a good book for a slightly advanced beginner, or someone who is not confident in designing their own project. The strawberry pyramid gets the three stars here--that one is pretty clever, and a design I'll be 'riffing' on--the clarity of illustration and instruction gets the fourth.

Easy step by step instructions my 4 yr old can follow. Definately a must buy for woodworkers of ANY skill level. But the book, build some stuff, sell it on Amazon. Haha. It really is that easy.

I bought the book used for the chair patterns - it was less expensive than buying the chair plans themselves.

Great book with lots of variety. The instructions are clear and easy to follow with pictures for almost every step. I’m very glad I chose this book.
