Free-spirited and all-around chic, Madison Harding thrives on impeccable style that flawlessly blends modernity with a vintage spirit. Creators and designers, Hilary Rosenman and Barri Budin draw inspiration for their retro, yet street provocative footwear line from the beloved Lower East Side as well as New York's staggering music and art scene. While studying art at Skidmore College, Hilary Rosenman and Barri Budin bonded over a shared love of fashion, contemporary design, and music. Following college, the two women moved to the East Village in New York City to start their careers in the fashion industry. Hilary served as a fashion market editor and Barri assisted at a contemporary fashion showroom. Uninspired in their positions, the two decided to follow their true passion, footwear. Having discovered a lack of accessible high-fashion shoes designed for the downtown city girl, Hilary and Barri fused their innate sense of style, knowledge of production, sales, and the fashion industry to create, Madison Harding. The name Madison Harding represents the designer's roots. Hilary grew up on Madison Ave in New York City and Barri on Harding Drive in New Jersey. The distinctive line presents an array of effortlessly cool styles and silhouettes--all fusing vintage charm and downtown edge. Madison Harding has quickly become a favorite among fashion-forward celebrities, hipsters and socialites such as Chloe Sevigny, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, Leighten Meester, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, and Ashley Simpson.
A**I
Ouuuuccchhh!! :-(
First off, let me say that I have never written a review for anything I've even bought on Amazon. I am an avid Amazon-er, but I have never remembered to write a review for anything..until now.So these shoes we gorgeous right out of the box. I tried them on, and they were a but snug, but I thought it would be alright because the heel was chunky and a comfortable height. Boy was I WRONG. I wore them out for a Friday night in DC. Everything was fine for about an hour, but when my friends and I were walking to our next location I was overcome with excruciating in my feet. It was to the point that my male friend had to literally carry me on his back for 3 blocks because I could no longer move, and I am no skinny mini. It was a hilarious mess. I would say maybe 3 hrs into our outing, I just had to take them off and walk around barefoot! Not cute.Anyway, these are the MOST uncomfortable shoes I have ever had the misfortune of wearing. Worse than any super high heel I have ever worn.It sucks because they are super cute. I am going to keep them and maybe I'll just wear them anytime I am not going to be walking. At all. Just for show lol.
