100% awesome!
I just bought myself a new fitbit charge 2 for Christmas and have seen a lot of broken screens online. It is more sensitive then the last fitbit I had, its more like a watch. Love it so I wanted to make sure that my screen was well protected. Well I can tell you I ordered this 8 pack of rinogear covers for the screen and it arrived at the same time. Thank goodness. It was really easy to install. I just wanted the video on the website because apparently all the screens are put on the same. You just cut out a little box with the screen you are using. I don't have a spray bottle to use so I put some dish soap in a little bowl, dipped the screen with the back into the water, pulled the screen off, dipped it again, shook it out a bit and put it on the face of my fitbit. The first time I put one on I thought my fitbit had to stay plugged in and kind of made one corner come up a tiny bit but after 8 hours it was dry. No issues with it. TODAY I was trying to climb over a baby gate with a bowl of water and fell. Hit the wall with my arm then the back of my head. (don't ask) I looked at my fitbit and saw half the screen was covered in a white scrape. I tried to wipe it off but it barely budged. I could not read the screen. Fearing that I had broke my fitbit I pulled off the screen protector and guess what! Not a scratch! The second time putting a screen protector on was easy. This time I plugged in the fitbit, turned it off, then unplugged it and put the new screen protector on. I stand behind this product. It saved my fitbit! Thank you!

Easy Application, no lifting
The application was pretty easy. I didn't give it enough time to set before I put it to charge and the charger clip pushed one side. And go a little particle on the film. So disappointing since that first application ending up being so perfect. Not even the little bubbles they warn about. The second application, It did end up with some bubbles, and they did go away after a few days as noted in the instructions. The sides don't lift at all once set. Great quality, I chose this one because the reviews said it had no clouding like some others screens and I can attest to that and when I figure out how to add a photo I will. Update: 3/29/17 - I purchased this on Dec 6, 2016 so 4 months ago. I wore something fuzzy the sides caught onto it but majority of the film was unaffected so I left it on, this happened 2-3 weeks ago. Of course it continued to catch on clothes and lift more and was a little unsightly but I don't care as most of the screen was still protected and my film had a bunch of scuff marks on it, so I know it was doing it's job protecting my screen. A coworker commented on wanting to tear it off the other day so I just switched it out with 1 of the other 8 they sent. This application was so perfect. I mean so perfect that this morning I could not tell that the film was on there and I was scared it might have come off while I slept. I poked it with my nail and saw the indentations slightly before it disappeared and that's how I knew it was still there. I love this thing. I still have 6 more of these, but I think if I put it on as well as I think I did. They will last me a long time.

Take time to become familiar with wet film installation and this film will produce excellent results.
It was easy to install following standard wet installation procedures for protective films. The RinoGear website video is ok, but recommend that you search YouTube for "paint protective film installation" for more expansive instructions. With the wet method it is easy to exactly align the film on the face of my Fitbit Charge 2 and then squeegee out the water underneath to set the adhesive. No bubbles or wrinkles. Face of the film is smooth and hides some small scratches in the original plastic face. It's been in place for about a week and no scratches or scuffing on the film. Only downside is that the film is fairly thick and fills the face completely. That leaves a small ridge of exposed film around the perimeter. I worry that will catch on fabric or solid edges and cause the film to pull away. So far, however, the film remains tightly attached from along all the edges. Update August 2018 - After about 2 months the corners have begun to peel back slightly. A cosmetic issue only for now (see photo). As I had feared, the ridge of film around the perimeter catches lightly on things when the face of the Charge 2 brushes across. Otherwise the film continues to be solidly attached over 95% of its area and is still protecting well. No scuffs or scratches. Maybe in another few months I will have to replace it with a second of the 8 that came in the package, but that's ok with me.

Does the job well in a difficult environment
Having not read the directions, I put the shield on in the regular way and am very satisfied. No bubbles, fits perfectly and is, so far, doing well to protect my little screen. Since I didn't read about the wet application, I didn't know there was another way to apply the shield and admit that I made a mess of the first attempt, but there are 8 shields in the package so I just ditched the first one and started again with a second. There is a little cloth to clean your screen before beginning and I could even have avoided the tiny bit of fingerprint in one corner if I'd used tweezers to place the shield. It went down onto the screen fine and the included stiff card worked perfectly to remove bubbles. I ended up with a perfect application and one would never know I had a screen protector on my device from looking at it. I wear my Fitbit all the time since it serves as my watch as well. I don't 'work out' per se, but have plenty of 'farm chores' that keep me busy and active. They are also very rough on my Fitbit and I've had screen problems with previous units. I wanted to protect this one and so far the shield is doing just that. It's been on there about a month at this point and so far, so good.

I have found this screen protector to be well worth the money: it is perfectly sized, does protect from scratching, does not obscure the display, and is relatively easy to apply precisely if you are not in a hurry and use a jeweller's loupe or a head-mounted magnifying glass to ensure proper alignment along one side. I used tight-fitting nitrile gloves when handling the protector when I peeled it off the backing to avoid fingerprints and was able to grasp at the edges well enough with a light touch to do an initial accurate positioning along one edge. Any errors in positioning can be corrected easily at this stage. Once I laid the protector across the entire screen, I took a credit card and applied pressure from the centre of the screen and working outward in both directions. In about 3-4 minutes I was left with a virtually perfect result. The protector does not interfere with the touch-capability of the screen. RinoGear offers another approach using water with a drop and soap and a longer drying time to allow easy repositioning, but this did not appeal to me.

If you follow the instructions the installation is very easy. Those who report having to go through multiple covers until the placement was correct DID NOT follow the instructions. You install it with a few drops of water/dish soap mix, it’s wet so you can slide it around all you want until it’s perfectly placed. I had purchased another cover before, the stick on type and it was complete garbage. Corner started to peel after 4 days, happened 3more times before I decided to try this one. I have on on now and it’s seamless, you absolutely cannot see it. It has been on for almost two months now and still looks perfect (i.e. you can’t even see that there is a screen protector). I work out for 1hour a day every day so I’m impressed with the quality and how well it’s holding up.
