Passed with a great score
This book and the practice exam book tell everything you need to know to pass. I didn't have to purchase any other resources and got a good score. I read the book, wrote some notes, made some flashcards of ASHRAE standards, and took both practice exams. This book kept me focused on studying just what I needed to know, so no time was wasted. It probably took about 30-35 hours of studying.

Well written book, Passed 194/200!
Very well written book. It covers more material than required for Green Associate Exam, but this will make it easier to prepare for LEED AP exam. Know the ASHRAE standards, including 189.1, memorize refrigerant table, and know all LEED vocabulary.I used this, and his practice exam book to pass with great score. Highly recommend and will be using his LEED AP book as well.

Helpful book, but needs to be updated asap!
This is a good book if you are looking for an affordable way to prep for the LEED Green Associate exam. The information is organized well. After taking the exam, my largest critique of the book is that it is quite out of date. Being published in 2016, it appears that the focus of the exam has shifted. Most noticeably is the change from a focus on refrigerants to water processes. I passed the exam and appreciate some insights provided by the book, but I would attribute my previous knowledge and work experience as providing a lot of help. This book needs an update.

Excellent prep for the exam
I passed the exam [2020] I only used this book and the practice test book also written by Togay as my only study materials. I didn't even actually have time to finish reading through this book from front to cover since I had only 3 days to study before my exam. After each chapter there are summaries telling you what you should focus on and they really help a lot. Definitely would recommend to pass on the first go.

This is a great book!
Easy read and great info. Test questions were not identical to the practice exam (just my luck) but I knew enough to make an educated guess from this book alone. Highly recommend.

Easily Passed after Reading Once
I read this book about a week before my scheduled test. Between this book, a GA app on my phone and some practice tests at USGBC I was well prepared. I attended a GA bootcamp at Greenbuild this year in Chicago and was at least as prepared and in some cases better prepared than classmates who studied much more intensely and for a longer period, but without the help of this book. Pay attention to the bold type and be sure know the refrigerants section...there will be multiple questions on the exam. Good luck!

Serves the purpose!
I guess I have put this book into a test, since I haven’t used any other prepping material for my GA test that I successfully passed at the first attempt. Please read through at least twice and memorize all the bold text.I have seen some other book used real case examples to illustrate every single category, that I found very useful so if you want to go beyond simple test purposes you might want to look for a different content.

It's Worth It!
I really liked this book! Most importantly like the covers denotes, you will pass with flying colors. Just passed my exam and this book made it easy. It covers more than you need to know. I will recommend checking google app store to get free apps to practice more questions. There are no questions provided in this manual. I hope the author can come up with a book for LEED AP O+M. Your work is really solid and worth an investment. Thank you!
