Worked flawlessly over two weeks in the UK
Worried needlessly before trip to UK after I belatedly read seller’s lukewarm reviews. No need for worry, at least based on my two-week experience in England. Activated as seller recommended the day before arrival, switched SIMs on the flight, and registered with the carrier Three once on the ground. Biggest problem was registering the SIM card and phone number with the carrier. Three’s app didn’t recognize the phone number I’d been assigned. It took some trial and error before realizing that I had to drop the +44 country code and insert a “0” (zero) before the rest of the number. Shortly afterward I received a text confirming the data package promised (free calls and texts, 12GB data). All worked flawlessly for my two weeks in England - UK calls & texts placed and received, cellular access always available for Uber, Maps, etcetera. Don’t be thrown off by Three’s initial offers to sell you data plans and such. You’ll have what you paid for. Just go through the steps and wait for confirmation that you in fact have precisely what you paid for.

Not worth it.
I bought this when i travelled out to the UK. This was a backup plan in case, my coverage with T-Mobile was bad. The sim didn't work very well. Had issues on sending texts and calls. The data speeds felt really slow to me and didn't appear to have any good coverage in London. I do not recommend. Use of cell companies like T-Mobile provides serious coverage in Europe on the cheap. Which worked out much better for me.

I bought 3 and they all worked well… EXCEPT
I purchased three of these Sim cards for traveling for over a month through Europe. They originally worked great. However, I apparently ran out of data on one of the sims and then it flat out died. I didn’t get any notification that I was running out of data or minutes, but the SIM card died abruptly. The Sim card didn’t show any bars, it didn’t show what type of network it was, it showed nothing once it ran out of minutes. It was almost as if it didn’t exist/was no longer registered as an active sim. I was sent a message that said they were investigating the error and Sim card died immediately afterward. It could also not be revived despite the fact that I should have been able to purchase more data. This didn’t happen to the other two sims, just mine. I wouldn’t purchase again.

Works great in UK and Europe
I bought this SIM card for use in the UK, France and Germany - 300min talk and text and 12GB data. The trip was 2.5weeks long and of course I forgot to turn off all my cellular downloads as Im on an unlimited plan in the US, so I chewed up 6GB in the first few days. After fixing that error (and "avoid highways" on my maps app which had me discovering all the backroads in the greater london area), I ran right up to 12.2GB at which time the phone reverted back into "E" network and basically didnt do anything, but by then I was on the plane back. This card is great - good signal (3UK network) and 4LTE data transmission in most places. Highly recommend buying one of these before going on your trip.

UK only
Data was spotty and slow. It is usable in Europe but unable to call anywhere but UK and messaging apps didn't work. Good to only slowly check for activities.

Works as advertised, mostly. I activated the SIM ...
Works as advertised, mostly. I activated the SIM still in US, with data working. The thing that is disappointing is that there's 4g only in UK. In all other countries (or at least France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and United States), there is 3g support only. Not a big deal, but the text makes you believe you will have 4g everywhere.Tethering/hotspot works with no issues, and consumes the 12gb allowance. Quite handy if your phone is locked (so you use the chip on an unlocked device) and/or you are traveling in group. If for some reason you consume more than 12gb, you can top up the sim card online (20 pounds for another 12gb allowance, as of mid 2018, but you have to use the website, because their apps are available on the UK version of the App/Play stores only). There's an all-you-can-eat data package, but with limited tethering allowance, for which I haven't personally tested, so I don't know if it is enforced or not.

DO NOT BUY
This is the worst SIM you can buy if traveling to the UK or Europe. Bought two of these for my wife and me when we went to Italy 3 years ago and they didn't work there. Had to go to a TIM store and get set up there for a lot more money but the TIM card worked. Now I'm in the UK and bought two more 3UK SIM cards on Amazon a two weeks before leaving. Followed all the instructions perfectly and again, they do NOT work. When I click on the 3UK link to register my card (for the last 48 hours since arriving in London), the message always reads, "Sorry, we're having some technical issues right now." 3UK is a total ripoff and I wish I could get my money back but as they say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". Never again will I purchase any 3UK products.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Bonjour from France! Works great at 4G speeds in France and the UK
I am typing this from Gordes, France, where I am using this sim card with a hotspot, meaning I put the card in my iPhone, turned on "personal hotspot" under wifi settings, and am using the phone / sim card to create my own wifi network that my laptop and our other phones on this trip can use. The speed is great -- much better than the 3G speeds this card featured a few years back when I used it -- and setup was a snap.Upon landing in the UK, our first stop, I put the sim card in the phone, turned on the phone and waited for a welcome text. I received one telling me to turn the phone off and then back on again. Once I did this I had full data and the phone worked just like it does at home from a data perspective. We use Skype, Whatsapp and Facetime to call back home using our data allowance vs. the separate bucket of "minutes" which we save for making local calls like restaurant reservations.I have used 3K all over France and UK, and even in Bali believe it or not. Their coverage in Asia is not yet what it is here in Europe so it's not ideal there. If you're headed to Europe, I highly recommend this sim card!Bon voyage!
