Well thought out, top of the range organizer
Yes, it's expensive - it's a similar price to the go7gaming organizer and a good $20 more than Broken Token. But it's reasonably priced for what you get and for me it scores over those two in a few ways. Most significantly: the player boxes. There are 4 of these and they're awesome. Despite a few reviews saying the contrary: you can store the health/xp trackers in them. It's in the instructions. Personally I didn't have trouble sliding in the player card as some reviewers reported, but ymmv. Unlike go7gaming, you don't have to decant EVERY character into a wooden tuck box - just the ones in your current party (so no risk of spoilers). Unlike Broken Token you don't have to use any of them: there's still space for all the original tuck boxes so you're not forced to keep 4 characters in wooden boxes even if you're only playing with two. The use of acrylic (etched with labels when needed) for dividers and lids works well functionally and aesthetically. The monster storage and the card storage are particularly well done and easy to find. Here are some pros and cons:Pros: Gorgeous to look at, well thought out, great character boxes, good labelling, high quality materials, excellent customer service.Cons: Doesn't *quite* fit into the original box - the lid will be lifted by 1" (doesn't bother me). You could probably avoid this by storing the map tiles in a file instead as a lot of people recommend. Takes time and care to build (see tips).BTW - I found SamSays Reviews on YT a really good resource for enumerating the pros and cons of the various Gloomhaven organizers. For me and my preferences Smonex came out on top, but go7gaming is probably a close second.Tips: Make sure you remove the clear protective plastic from the acrylic too. Generally you want to do this at the last moment but do remember before you assemble the character boxes as it will be almost impossible to remove afterwards without disassembly (ask me how I know). Use lots of glue. Important: put the acrylic lids in place WHILE the glue is drying. If you don't the lids will likely be a very tight fit (if they fit at all). Same goes for the character box lids - let the main box dry with the swing lid in place so that they are correctly aligned. Lastly, understanding the symbols on the card storage dividers is not easy for newcomers to the game (particularly as, I think, there are features intended only for the Forgotten Circles expansion. Maybe?). They could definitely improve their instructions on this part, but you can get glimpses of which cards go where if you play their promo video at 1/4 speed. All in all, very happy so far. Even if you don't pick the Smonex organizer (and I think you should) do pick some kind of organizer (there are plenty of DIY solutions out there) - I find I'm much more likely to play now the chore of set up and put away has been mostly eliminated.

One of the best Gloomhaven organisers out there!
First off - this is definitely one of the more expensive organisers you can buy, but I would say it's worth the price. There's clearly a lot of thought that's gone into knowing how to group the various components into suitable trays. The Status Token and Summon Token trays have a great feature where one end of the tray pulls out to form a stand (see photos) and it makes it easy to then slide the tokens out of their holder. The clear Perspex lids on the small map tile trays and the monster trays are excellent (and having the names of the monsters etched in to the lid is really useful). The cards tray is thoughtfully designed and also has perspex dividers with etched descriptions in them, as well as an ingenious ratcheted rail that really helps when flipping through the card types. A few people have had issues with the large map tiles tray, but once you watch the video on Smonex YouTube channel and mentally realise it should have been video'd from the point of view of the person putting the tiles in the tray rather than watching it "upside down", it's then makes sense and does sit flush (see my photos). The wood-stained effect of the wood really fits the feel of the game too. When stowed in the Gloomhaven box, the lid sits about 1 inch higher, but it's not an issue as the contents are still sat level on the top tray.As for construction, it did take me 4 evenings to assemble, and requires more rubber bands than are supplied (plus the wood glue). I would say pay attention when building the character trays as I accidentally put the perspex in the wrong way on two of them and had to pull it apart again before the glue had fully set.If Smonex are considering making a Frosthaven organiser, I'm fairly sure I'd buy that too!

Organise the mess
Took 2 sessions of 3 hours to fully build the organiser. Good to know that it does not come with wood glue and it comes with 6 bands which may not be sufficient if you are fixing multiple parts at once. Fits the box nicely but the map tray is still troublesome to take out and keep so you may want to get another bag to store it separately.

Great Prodcut.
Assembly wasn't too bad. Fairly intuitive with the instructions. Having someone there to help makes things even smoother. Definitely get some more elastic bands, otherwise you must wait for the boxes to dry overnight to reuse the bands to fix them to the next box.Assembly took about four hours, but the time this product will save in prep and clean up will be countless. Highly recommended.
