Size is just right for me
I cook for two and don't often need big pots. This one holds my sloppy joe recipe perfectly: Salt & pepper 1/2 pound ground beef. Brown along with 1/2 chopped onion. Add 1 can chicken gumbo soup, 1/2 can water & one tbsp each ketchup and mustard. Simmer for at least an hour. Before using I needed to scrub this pot thoroughly with a stiff brush and hot water to get rid of the icky yellow goo it was preseasoned with. Then I heated it on a burner and wiped it with a paper towel soaked with bacon grease. Next I wiped off the excess grease with a dry paper towel & turned the burner on a minute or two longer. I left the pot cool to there. When not in use I store it in my oven where the pilot light keeps the air dry.The shipping on this item was very fast.

A Kitchen Do-It-All Pot.
This small dutch oven is a very versatile cooking tool. In the first year I had it, I used it to cook everything from bread to dessert. It is useful for the stove top, oven and grill. For the bread, I lined the pot with parchment paper and used an artisan, almost no-knead recipe. Baked in this dutch oven, the bread had a great texture on the inside and a crisp, crusty outside. Peach cobbler is a cinch in the oven or on the grill. The wire handle comes in handy for lifting off the grill. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because it is called a "seasoned' dutch oven. Factory seasoning seldom holds up in cast iron cookware and this was no exception. You can easily season the pot, however. Just put in a Tablespoon of vegetable oil, heat for a minute or so, then use a paper towel to wipe the oil all over the inside of the pot. Repeat this 4-5 times the first time you season the pot. I use this dutch oven at least once a week and usually more frequently than that.

VERY POOR Quality
Does NOT sit level, it rocks. Lid does NOT fit evenly. Yet, VERY pricey. Buyer beware & look elsewhere!

Great little Dutch Oven
Outstanding! I found none of the flaws mentioned by other reviewers. When compared to Lodge cookware, the finish is comparable. The lid fits closely. The seasoning is outstanding.I did remove the bail. Upon receipt, I scrubbed the pot with hot water, wiped it with vegetable oil; placed it in a 350 degree oven for one hour, then turned the oven off and left the little Dutch oven in place to cool overnight. It's just the right size for one or perhaps two people.

Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven not very well Seasoned
The Cajun Cookware 1 quart seasoned cast iron Dutch Oven is exactly the size I needed, but I do question the term "seasoned" somewhat. The first thing I put into the pot was plain water, which I boiled, and the pot rusted slightly above the water line. From experience, I know that this can be corrected fairly easily, but I am disapointed with the product in this respect. Also, the interior of the pot is a little "rough" when compared to Lodgeware, and looked just a tad unfinished. It arrived with no papers, but I do know that it's made in China. Since I only use this pot for non-edibles, I'm OK, but would want more information before cooking food in it.
