Very good quality
Well made. Another reviewer said the ring was cheap and not stainless. The ring clip on the items I received are stainless. (the entire item including ring is heavy and non magnetic)

Worked as a quick release for a USB monitor.
I mounted two Asus MB-169B+ monitors to my desk with these. I threaded right angle braces with 1/4x20 holes and put the other end on a fixed pin. I can now swing them open for normal usage flanking either side of my 21:9 center monitor or fold them in and close the doors to make all the tech disappear. Thanks to these spring plungers I can also release them quickly to take along for travel when I want extra monitor space while working elsewhere.

Bad Boy lawnmower pedal
These work perfectly for the bad boy lawnmower pedal quick release. Mine vibrated out and dealer wants $13 + $17 shipping. These were $5 each.

Pin size smaller than spec
These spring plungers feel reasonable quality but they don't match the specs provided in the description. I ordered the 3/8 size and the pin measures exactly 1/4" diameter with calipers. The product description says 0.276 inch. If you're going to provide a specification precise out to thousandths of an inch, your product shouldn't be off by 26 thousandths. I already expected these to be loose for my particular application but being this out of spec they are actually sloppy. Now I'm considering whether I need to buy some bushings to get a proper fit.If it helps anyone else, here are some additional measurementsThe advertised .44" "thread length" is from the tip of the threaded shaft to the base of the hex head, not just the threads, in case it wasn't clear. There is approx 1/16" unthreaded beneath the head. The pin has up to 1/4" of excursion, but being spring loaded could seat into a shallower hole.

Buy the half inch
I bought these at the recommendation of Jonathan Katz Moses on his first collection video. He recommended the 1/4, which are fine, but they are tiny and harder to get a hold of. I decided I wanted to try the half inch and they are stellar. Smooth mechanism, sturdy... I'm dropping them into 3/4 plywood.
