Works Great!
I have Comcast HD TV service and upgraded my standard SD cable TV adapter box to a HD TV Adapter box with HDMI connector. My old 2009 HD (720P) Toshiba 15" kitchen TV has only composite and component inputs and no HDMI. Using this Radio Shack Converter was easy to install and worked right away. I just had to set the Comcast HD adapter box to 720P in its setup menu and plugged in the HDMI cable to it and then the component cables to the TV. Voila! Best of all, it requires no AC power. Viva Radio Shack!Update: After 6 years of using this adapter, my TV started to freeze up on me. That is, the selected channel would lock up and could only be fixed by moving up/down a channel on my remote and then moving back to it where it became unlocked. Put in another new Radio Shack adapter of same, and voila problems went away. So its not forever going to work:)

Worked Great for my setup. Reccommended for older hardware
Worked great for me with an Apple TV 2. I know a lot of folks were having compatibility issues with this, so I thought I'd leave a review with my setup. I have an old Panasonic Plasma Monitor (TH-50PH9) circa 2005 that only has one hdmi port and one component slot. I decided to see if I could get some use out of it, and this little guy worked great. The audio is sent through the TV just fine as well. The monitor itself is only 720p so there was no way the apple tv could have sent a signal higher than that and everything looks great. Highly reccommend for older hardware with this situation.

Didn’t work for me.
I have a Philips LCD TV that’s over 10 yrs old. Picture and sound qualities are still excellent. Its single HDMI input no longer works so I bought this hoping to be able to use my ROKU via its RCA component. Didn’t work. The purple ROKU image showed up and then there was none. Had to return it to Amazon.

Highly Recommend
Worked perfectly! I use it for my LG refrigerator tv which is an earlier version HDTV (Fridge tv labeled HDTV). I've been able to connect cable boxes to it but not any android boxes, set tv boxes or the Apple 4k box until now. This HDMI-to Component converter has enabled me to be able to watch IPTV with out any hitches. It's better than any other YPbPr component converter that I've used.I highly recommend!!!

Very nice but only 720p
Works good but I only get 720p resolution with Apple TV using this. Keep that in mind. It will allow you to plug in an hdmi item however the resolution won’t be 1080p also it only works with my older Apple TV not the newer one. Over all it solved my problem and was glad I didn’t need something that needs to be powered like the other things I’ve tried. Quick and easy

Works, but somewhat poorly
I love that this is a simple cable that converts the signal from HDMI to Component without needing a box or power. However, the output itself isn't too great. Using this on a Nintendo Switch, the picture quality goes down quite a bit when the Switch is set to 1080p. It's improved some when set to 720p, but it's still not as good as it was when connected simply with it's HDMI.It's also off center, which wasn't an issue for me since the Switch can correct it itself, but if you're using a simple DVD player that doesn't have that ability you may have an issue.

RadioShack Best HDMI to Component Converter
My Case PS4-Pro & 34" LG:RT-34FB12RB CRT TV !but there is a catch you need to start PS4 in Safe Mode Choose 1080i Resolution to jump start it ! since it doesn't use external power source which is very convenient ! once jump started it thats it ! No Signal cut No delay Continuous Solid Stream of Converted HDMI Signal . its premium deserves its Price !keep in mind 1080i Resolution Makes text very small hard to read but everything else Looks beautiful on the eyes beautiful image ! if 480i Resolution was available on PS4 it would have been paradise orolder Gen Consoles with 480i Resolution Perfection !

It works really well for a 1080i "box" TV, but...
As it's pretty much just a cable, check on your TV and HDMI device's specs before using. I found that at least my PS4 did not like to remain in 1080i, and I haven't even tested on my Switch as it only had progressive scan options that I could see. As for my Wii U, which was the intended device in the first place, the blues are somehow much "bolder," for a lack of a better word, than with any other cable I've used. That doesn't bother me at all, though, but I do feel like it's something worth mentioning.
