Can these be used as shelf sitters? Meaning will they stand up on their own on a flat surface?

Absolutely not! Sizes vary. I suggest Dick Blick. More expensive but with it in size and quality!!

Mine were all good

First time buying cradled panels, the pack I got were all great. A minority of reviewers had issues with damage / quality control, but I decided that at this price it was worth a punt, I will buy again. hope they do bigger ones!
