Love the fun colors, but watch out for the scary warning
Comes with a friendly label suggesting they will give you cancer. This is a requirement since they are manufactured in California, and such labeling is a state requirement for non-government entities with more than 9 employees. For more info see this page..https://oag.ca.gov/prop65/faqs-view-allUnfortunately the exact chemical they're talking about isn't specified so it's hard to assess the actual risk. The list of things that must carry a Prop 65 warning label are pretty diverse, from seriously deadly toxins, to tobacco and Valium, to fine-grain sand. I personally don't store food in them, it's clear from their rainbow patina that something that doesn't love my DNA might be in there. I also wouldn't heat or microwave them. I've used them for medication in tablet form and I'm not that worried about it. There are a lot of people looking for containers for waxy substances, I think it would be wise to get glass jars instead. The composition of some balms may cause whatever is in the jars to leech in to the balm.I use them mostly for screws and small parts. Quality is fine. They are clearly not water tight so probably shouldn't be used for liquids. Volumetrically they can hold about 1.5 tablespoons, and 1 tablespoon fills them the the threads for the cap.If you feel like playing detective, the part number is 75-TJ8620. I wasn't able to find any additional info about manufacturing online, but you could try contacting the manufacturer. They're sold a lot of different places, but as is typical, no one can beat Amazon's prices.

Work great for transporting cosmetics in carry-on bags, when flying.
Was exactly what I needed. Bought these so I could transfer some of my everyday cosmetics (moisturizer, foundation, leave-in conditioner for hair, even toothpaste) from the large containers I use at home, to these tiny containers which would go through airport security easily. That worked great. I even lined each container with a small piece of wax paper, to create a disposable "liner" for the container. Then I could easily discard the wax paper after my trip, and these containers stay clean. The covers go on easily. I like the colorful lids. These are a very rigid plastic, so nothing will get squashed in your purse or luggage. I initially purchased these to deal with carry-on luggage requirements. However, I have since used them for carrying small quantities of cosmetics in my work purse, from time to time. They will last a long time, I am certain, and over time, I am sure they will come in handy for all sorts of things. The only minor negative is that I really did not need twelve of these containers. Six would have been plenty for my needs. I wish they offered a smaller quantity alternative. These are very handy and I am glad I purchased them.

Great for toddler exploration
I bought these for my one-year old, who is very interested in little things I don't want her to put into her mouth. They go in the jar and she can examine, shake, throw and share the jars full for bells, pennies, beads and other baby-chokers. They will be great for all the things she finds when we go camping; bottle tops, squirrel poo, seeds, etc.Importantly, she cannot get them open. The lids screw on tight. When she can open them, it's time to break out the plumbers' tape. They are inexpensive enough that I can just discard them if I have to glue them shut and she gets bored with the contents. In the mean time, we can change the contents with the situation. They are light enough I am not worried about them breaking if they are dropped and they are big enough she cannot get one into her mouth (she has tried.)I looked at the clear lid ones but decided on the coloured lids so we can identify them easily a they float around the house. We just turn them upside down when we are using them so she can see the contents. I also think it helps that she can't see how the lid works.

They are sturdy and the tight-fitting lids close easily - plus the ...
Lots of uses for these little jars. I bought them b/c the kitchen in our vacation home has limited storage space, but I am a serious cook and want many of my herbs and spices there. I didn't use all I bought, but I have since used the leftovers for lunch box condiments, homemade herb salts, even for airplane travel, where liquids and creams in even 3 oz. containers fill up your quart Baggie so fast. They are sturdy and the tight-fitting lids close easily - plus the price is right. The only reason they don't get a 5th star is that they don't have shaker top inserts, but if you don't need that, then these are 5-star for you.

Toxic little jars
They are the size I wanted. Not sure how well the lid will stay on because when you screw it it doesn’t seem to collide into place. It just stops. The biggest problem is there is a label on the front that says “warning: this product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm.” Don’t really want to get cancer They are the size I wanted. These are not glass, and have transparent lids
These are NOT glass! Just so you are aware. Yes, I realize that if I did a bit more reading I would have seen that, but they came up from a search I did for "glass jars." So it was a bit confusing. But ultimately, I mostly like them. I will say this - in my opinion, they do not look like the picture. They are clear plastic on the bottom, and yes the lid is colored, but it's a transparent colored lid (as opposed to the solid one pictured).Overall, they work for what I need them for (travel lotions/creams, pills, etc).

Perfect for samples or purse size hand balm!
I received exactly what is pictured. Clear jars, and lids in four colors (3 each green, purple, black, and red.) The jars hold one ounce (by weight) of my handmade hand balm, so I am happy with the size.I didn't have any problems with jars cracking or being difficult to open. I would repurchase, though I would like to have an option to purchase them with all one color lid.
