Q: Can this be used in a car?

It is designed for 110V operation with household current. I used this to replace a space heater. There is a big selection of rocker switches for automotive use (12V) which would likely be better choices. This switch should work in a car. The last time I checked it was not available.

The switch is rated at 20amps @125 volts so yes it can be used for that application. It has 6 spade terminals (male) that you connect to with a female spade connector or you could solder & heat shrink it as well

Q: Does a wiring diagram come with this product?

I did not receive a wiring diagram with mine but if it's a direct replacement it's pretty simple to figure out.
