Music Of The Spheres

If you like Coldplay, you will love this album. I’m no professional music reviewer so I’m not going to review every track. I just want to add my voice to the chorus of people who love this album. As a bonus it comes with a free digital download and an attractive booklet with lyrics to the songs. If, like me, you just got a new turntable and want to start your vinyl collection with music you already know and love, or your a Coldplay fan growing your vinyl collection, you’re going to enjoy this album.

I honestly have love for all 8 previous LPs and the other material in Coldplay's discography. I enjoy some more than others, but the band at its essence has always been true to themselves even as their sounds change. Music of the Spheres is just the newest installment of the band that continue to strive to make a positive impact on those around them while doing what they love - making music for others. When it's all said and done, this LP will have some songs that stick in my playlists and some that I probably won't listen to much at all. But it's still an enjoyable record and I'm looking forward to seeing them tour it live!

I had this preordered and got it smartly, all is well with the packaging, no creases, rips, etc.The vinyl I got is a dark grayish blue with small flecks of other colors. As I understand it, you need to not get too hung up on it looking exactly like the example. By ‘recycled’ they seem to have truly meant it, and you’ll get what they had at the time of pressing. Some of them are red, some brown, some black, some blue, etc.Mine sounds fine…side B has a few ‘crackles’ in the last two tracks, but nothing loud, no pops.I personally did not become a fan until X&Y and Mylo Xyloto is my favorite. I personally prefer the more ‘upbeat’ Coldplay, and I think X&Y, MX, and Viva La Vida are their peak (so far). This is sort of along the same lines as Ghost Stories/Head Full of Dreams/Kaleidoscope, which is my second favorite run of albums. Jeez, it’s not as terrible as I’m being told it is, it just isn’t peak Coldplay. It’s ‘fine’ Coldplay. I would bet that Chris has been working steadily on his voice, he’s improved a lot since the old days. He sounds great.I’m not sorry I bought it at the price I did; had they been asking $30 or $40 for vinyl like SOME are now, I’d have been put out. Including the digital album for free is a boss-energy move; thanks Coldplay!Basically, I like it enough that I’ll redeem the download code. It’s not an album I really need to pay ATTENTION to, because the lyrics are pretty standard, but it’s great to soak in while you’re doing other things, you know? That kind of album. Get it.I didn’t get to see their previous tour; had tickets and they had to cancel lest we all get hurricaned. So I hope to catch the tour for this album, and if they play the whole thing, well, i dunno. But I’d definitely like to hear ‘Coloratura’, ‘Humankind’, and ‘Let Somebody Go (but a solo version)’ live in a stadium.I’m glad to have new music, glad they’re still together. Got my money’s worth and hope there’s actually meant to be a Volume II.

Arrived quick and in perfect conditions!!!!! The design is very detailed and has great colors, I’m obsessed! it comes with a poster! Tracklist… omg I’m obsessed with Coloratura and My Universe, this album really makes me nostalgic I don’t know why lol, it’s just a must, worth every single penny!!!!!!!! HUMANKIND!!!!!!!!!!

This is by far one of the best things to happen to music. I'm glad that the band doesn't bend over people's comments abiut their music style. As long as their music brings warmth, love and joy all is good.

I’m in love with this album. I can’t express how happy and magical it feels to own a vinyl from a band that means so much to me.
