For those times that you really need to soak up a lot of water
If you need to soak up a lot of water by design or accident, this powder can absorb an amazing amount of water. Depending on the amount of water that it absorbs, it can go from artificial snow, to a clear water saturated gel. It's uses are only limited by your imagination. One great use for it is to mix some in with your potting soil. This will help absorb any excess moisture and slowly release it back into the soil. This will help keep your plants watered while you're away on a vacation. I've used the water beads before, and they do work good but take a very long time to absorb the water and I would assume be just as slow as giving it up

Works like it’s supposed to
My kids love science kits, and this powder is always the first thing the kit runs out of because they love the experiments that use it. Finding a replacement was fantastic so they can continue to enjoy the science but we don’t have to buy a whole new kit.

Not as good as Steve Spangler’s water gel
This product works, and will achieve the desired result of a small amount of water turning into a gel. However, it does not work as fast, nor does it hold as much water as Steve Spangler’s water gel. I am an educator and I like to use this product with a demonstration called, disappearing water. For my purposes, this product does not work fast enough and does not hold enough water. If you do not need the water to gel instantly, this is a good product for the cost.
