Better tasting water
You can taste the difference in the water with this. I find that the water has less of a chemical taste. Expect to have some loss in pressure but not much. Installation is not very difficult, but it is easier if you have a decent amount of space under your sink. Although, I have very little space under my sink, and I was still able to install it.

worth the extra cost
the regular filter works fine and makes the tap water in my house tolerable but this one is far better, definitely worth an extra few bucks over the cheaper one
