Industrial Spinning Style Mop

Never used one of these before - took some time to get it up and working.Something else would probably be a better choice.

I used to clean houses for extra money and I LOVE this mop system! We now have 3700 Sq Ft of ALL TILE FLOORS in our house and this gets things done fast!!First, it's a sturdy piece of equipment and it's light weight. I was really keen on getting the dolly but I really don't find it necessary, I don't find it cumbersome to move around with water in it - I am 50 yrs old and in reasonable shape but have had my share of back problems. There were cheaper options available that would probably work just fine for smaller houses with limited mopping requirements - but that was not the case with us. I am happy I spent the extra dough. I will say from everything i saw and read, this mop is the generic version of the CycloMop without the stickers, the warranty or directions. After using this I would not have a problem spending the money on a CycloMop to get the warranty. The mop bucket comes completely assembled - the mop requires some assembly and takes a bit to figure out without instructions. However, if you watch the CycloMop videos on assembly and use... it's identical. The only bit that took me a while to figure out was the connection to put the two pieces of the mop handle together; answer, there is a narrow band on the handle that you twist to make the plastic connector screw inside expand and tighten up the connection so the two pieces stay together. All in all the moving pieces on the mop are the only learning curve - again, watch the CycloMop video on their website or youtube and you should be set. It's worth the time.The spin mop feature I've never used before (you tube videos helped me figure it out) but I will never use anything else now. The mop head is made out of microfiber and provides all of cleaning and scrubbing power that microfiber offers, if you are not familiar it makes a huge difference! The next thing that makes a difference is the spinning aspect; you can spin the mop in the water bucket to rinse all the dirt from the mop (which is better than just plunging it in and out of the water) and then you spin as much water out of the mop as you want easily (no wringing). Because my hands don't get near the water I can use straight screaming hot water which cleans better and dries faster and I use less cleaner (intentionally) to minimize the residue left behind. (Side rant - my husband thinks the more cleaner you use the cleaner things get. The result of using too much floor cleaner is you get a film on your floors that not only makes your floors look dull, it also leaves them tacky (depending on what you use) so they collect dirt which makes your floors get dirty faster...which means more mopping... and cleaner.. but I digress) The spinner inside the bucket has a little fitting the matches the mop head it allows you to use the bucket to spin the mop in the water with the foot pedal or using the mop itself. The spinner above the water looks like the stainless steel drum in a washing machine and works the same. When I am done with the mop I rinse out the bucket and fill it with screaming hot water again and rinse and spin, rinse and spin until the mop is well rinsed and dried, empty the bucket, then insert the handle of the mop into the bucket (there is a special hole in the bucket for that) and let it dry. You can also throw the mop head in the washer for a deep clean. The mop heads click on and off easily.We used to use a sponge mop on our floors and it was a bear!! The first time I used this mop I went through 12 buckets of water (doing 4 large rooms) because of all the dirt that crummy sponge mop left behind and finally got mopped up with this mop. Now my floors are noticeably cleaner and mopping them faster and easier.We live in Florida where hard floors are really common. If you have allot of surface to keep clean or a heavy traffic area that needs frequent cleaning (we also have dogs that come in and out the same door ever day) - this will make the job more manageable. I can only imagine how gross carpet would be in these areas. Finally - shipping was quick I got it in 2 days... I was actually excited to try it, my husband was excited to see me mop! :))Happy Mopping!!PS - Last I looked this generic version was not available, consider the CycloMop if the money is manageable for you.

This just arrived today. I was super excited to get my unit, but not so happy now. There is no phone number to call to speak to the manufacturer, so I'll have to try and go through Amazon for help. The main product box was damaged, although it was inside of another bigger brown box via Amazon and that box wasn't damaged at all. Clearly this was damaged prior to shipping. Inside the box, there is NO INFORMATION booklet. No papers, no instructions, NOTHING. I tried to assemble the mop handle and all of the random pieces that were just laying in the box and noticed that one length of handle has a big dent in it. After time, this will surely become a weak spot and that part of the mop handle will bend and break. I needed this product TOMORROW for my job. I have no choice but to try and use it as my other system is currently broken beyond repair. (which is why I ordered this new one) I'm frustrated that there is no way to get help, to have another shipped out OR to just have parts replaced. CLEARLY THIS WAS A RETURNED UNIT sold as new and I'm not happy about that. Because I cannot even put this thing together with working parts, I'm unable to give a review on how the unit actually cleans. This is my first unsatisfactory Amazon purchase in as long as I can remember.

This is a no name brand of another company that is much higher price. Don't get a pail roller. (can live without that) Same color and design but no printing on the bucket advertising the brand. The mop handle (the weakest part on all these spin mops) is very well made and expect that this mop handle should last. More expensive then some other brands but cheaper then the professional named brand. I found it to be a fair and good price for a quality product. Definitely expect the bucket to last a long time. If the mop handle dies, well I have now owned enough spin mops that I can say all mop attachments that snap on the head are of the same size. only the very center of the round mop attachment is different,. Made to match the bucket you purchased. But round, square, X center or whatever should still work in the bucket you are using. Don't go out and buy a whole new spin mop system. Find a replacement handle online. I have a extra Kinkyo mop handle. Not the same center but takes the mop attachment and spins in the bucket. So go buy a good bucket. The mop handle on this model is very good but the thing that gets the most abuse is the mop handle. Try and find a good one but one that doesn't break the pocket book. At this point in time, excellent spin mop system.

Love the concept of the mop and spin....already the handle is not working. Looking into reinforcing it so it doesn't bend in the middle. Others said they had same problem......there's a cheap plastic piece that fails to hold the 2 parts of handle together...

This item did not come with instructions, but was similar to more pricey items and I had watched the video so figured out how to put together, etc. I like this product, it is easy to use. I don't care for the drain as it is very slow, but a simple tip of the bucket gets it emptied. I like it, I don't have to touch the wet mop head or dirty mop water.

I've never purchased an item that has absolutely no instructions with it, the mop handle was very difficult to assemble and I still don't know if it is assembled properly. The mop head is not flexible.
