Fantastic Frantic Fun
Super fun cooperative shooter. Quick to play with a little set-up. Also, fun to paint.

Real-time boardgame
Quite a bit of setup, but once you get going, you have 2 minutes of furious dice rolling each turn. The more the better, but everyone really needs to know what they're doing, since you can't stop to help them out. One of my 10yr olds love this, but the other needs a bit of help and finds it too frustrating.
