I love this kettle. I love having buttons to select the type of tea, such as green, black, herbal, etc., so that the perfect temperature is reached based on the selection. I'm glad that the buttons specify the type of tea in addition to the actual temperature so I don't have to try to remember which temperature is needed for which type of tea. If I'm brewing water for green tea, I simply push the button that says Green Tea 167. Very easy. You can also select a button for coffee, a button for boiling water, and a button for warming. A lot of choices! It heats the water pretty quickly, too. I love the goose neck spout for pouring the water. I also like that the water will stay at the selected temperature until you pick the kettle up because sometimes I'm not able to get to it as soon as it alerts me that it's reached the desired temperature. It has a feature to prevent it from boiling dry also. The quality is very nice. The handle is very sturdy. It has a stylish look. I am so happy I bought this. It's a fantastic product!

Finally a totally stainless steel kettle, that not only looks nice on the kitchen counter, but is easy to use, works great, boils fast and comes with an 18 month manufacturer's warranty, which tells me that it is well made. I had a stainless steel Kenmore kettle that lasted me 13 years. Was having trouble with the switch connecting to the base power source for boiling, so decided to purchase a new one and keep the Kenmore as backup. I researched and decided on a glass and stainless steel one for around $40.00. Did not want any plastic coming in contact with boiling water. However, this kettle lasted 35 days before the plastic on/off switch started smoking when I turned it on and left a strong burning smell in my kitchen. Amazon graciously let me return it for a full refund. This new kettle is well worth the price. Have not used all the features it has for coffee and tea, etc. The only plastic piece is on the base where the power source is, but it appears to be of heavy gauge mixed with metal. The inside lid of the kettle is stainless steel, so no plastic touching boiling water issues. Good value for my money so far and highly recommend this item!

I bought this because of the small footprint, long spout and the variable temperature settings, important for making pour over coffee. Works very well, and looks great on my counter. I think the price is very reasonable although obviously I don't know how it will last. I got rid of old clunky kettle that took up space on my stovetop and this feels like a great decision. Arrived quickly too.

Note: This is for the Cusimax 1000W Gooseneck KettlePros:- Has some built in temperature maintain settings so if you forget to use your water immediately it will reboil it like once I think (I think not too sure?)- Easy to use- Beeps not too intrusive- Has water level on inside and out- There is no protruding element (other than the temperature sensor) inside so by kettle standards it should be pretty easy to clean. The small lid does make it harder to squeeze a cloth/sponge in there thoughCons:- Not super fast at boiling but not slow either- Lid is a little bit tight which is honestly way better than being loose- Gooseneck is good but maybe not perfect (I am not experienced enough to say)- Inside water scale could be a bit easier to see, would be nice if there was a second one on the other side so you could see it from more angles- Pre-set temperatures so you can't set your own (expected for this price)I have only had this for a day or two but overall already found it pretty useful. If you can buy it for less than $70 I think it is a pretty good buy.

This is a great tea kettle.Pros:- I really like being able to set it to a specific temperature. I notice a difference in the taste of my tea vs boiling water.- It's handy that it stays warm for awhile after it reaches temp since I always forget that I heated water.- it looks great on the counter- the small spout is funCons:- I don't know how long it will last, it's quite light.- There is a loud clicking sound when it's trying to stay warm where it turns off and on every two seconds so it doesn't go over temperature. That is pretty annoying (I can hear it in another room).- It's only 1L so if you need a lot of water it may not be right for you.Compared to other variable temp kettles it's great value for money.

It seems that two kettles are being reviewed here. To be clear, I am reviewing the stainless steel gooseneck kettle with temperature control.For years, I used a plastic kettle. Then we learned that hot water and plastic shouldn't mix. So I switched to a metal kettle, but it still had plastic bits in contact with the hot water. That kettle finally died so I decided to get a kettle which has no plastic whatsoever. And I can confirm: there is no plastic at all on the inside of this kettle. Beneath the lid there is the tiniest bit of plastic, but it is not actually submerged in the hot water so it doesn't concern me.This kettle heats quickly, looks great, and offers a nice slow pour which is great for my pour-over. Two people have remarked on how nice it looks. If I were to recommend a kettle to a friend, I would have no qualms about suggesting this one.
