Hi there! The Liner can be placed on the cooling pad and the foam can be placed on top of the liner for extra relief!

Q: Do these have to be used with the ice cold packs or can these be placed over regular post-partum pads?

You can use them on their own over regular pads. First few weeks PP, I layered them with the ice pads and perinal spray and the perinal pads!

Q: How do the cooling pad liners stay in place? Do I have to buy the pads to hold them securely?

I wore them on top of a heavy pad and an ice pack and had no problem with them moving around.
