This authentic Maiolica (also known as Majolica) creation, is inspired by the world-renowned pottery of Deruta, Italy, a medieval hilltop town celebrated for its superior ceramics since the 12th century. The Ricco design—meaning "rich" in Italian—is Deruta's most iconic and beloved pattern and Artistica proudly offers the true original version of this celebrated motif, which dates back to the 16th century. Featuring intricate scrollwork and floral accents, it pays homage to the frescoes painted by Renaissance master Pietro Perugino (aka "Il Perugino"), bringing timeless elegance and historical charm to your home. Each piece is expertly hand-painted by master artisans in Deruta using traditional Renaissance colors like royal blue, yellow gold, and emerald green; these vibrant hues create a stunning visual contrast, making this ceramic item a perfect centerpiece for your kitchen, dining table, or living space. Crafted from 100% food-safe glazes and colors, this earthenware item reflects centuries of artistic heritage passed down through generations. While each piece is dishwasher safe for easy care, we recommend avoiding microwave use, as the ceramic may become very hot. Whether you’re hosting an elegant dinner party or simply adding a touch of Italian sophistication to your décor, this authentic Ricco Deruta ceramic is a timeless investment in beauty and craftsmanship. ## Features - **Authentic Italian Craftsmanship** – This exquisite piece from the Ricco Deruta Collection by Artistica is hand-painted by master artisans in Deruta, Italy, a town celebrated for its superior ceramics since the 12th century. - **Iconic Renaissance Design** – Featuring the original Ricco pattern, dating back to the 16th century, this piece showcases intricate scrollwork and floral accents inspired by the frescoes of Renaissance master Pietro Perugino. - **Vibrant Hand-Painted Colors** – Decorated with traditional Renaissance hues like Royal Blue, Yellow Gold, and Emerald Green, this ceramic adds a striking visual contrast, perfect for enhancing your kitchen, dining table, or home décor. - **Food-Safe & Durable** – Crafted from 100% food-safe, fully glazed earthenware, this ceramic is dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning and a durable addition to your dinnerware collection.
