I don't like that there isn't a temporary adhesive to allow you to try it in several positions before peeling the backer off the mounting post.However I would buy it again if needed.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought these after an intense scare when switching lanes on the highway. I had a close call due to my blind spot. I must say, these mirrors are worth it. I saved myself a lot of stress and worry by using these. They’re so affordable and I am actually surprised how many people don’t use these. I feel a lot more confident and safe when switching lanes now. I bought the mirrors back in May 2018, drove at least 6000 miles, and had my car washed at least 14 times and they are still on as of Nov. 2018.WILL THEY STAY ON DURING & AFTER A CAR WASH?They stay intact just fine for me (see video) I just push my sideview mirrors in for extra protection. Keep in mind this could be different for you depending on how your car wash is designed. I’m sure some are more aggressive than others. Below are some methods on how I got my car washed without the mirrors falling off.METHOD 1: PLASTIC BAGAt first I used to wrap a plastic bag around each sideview mirror. The plastic bag method works from time to time, just make sure to tie a knot or you will lose the bag in the car wash. Do not use a ziplock bag - that will definitely get lost. I learned that the hard way. I do not depend solely on the plastic bag method because it is essential for the paint on the sideview mirror to get waxed and cleaned regularly. However, the of this method is you don’t have to readjust the mirror.METHOD 2: MIRRORS OFF WITH FASTENERSEventually I took the mirrors off, but left the fasteners on whenever I needed a wash but that got too tedious. Taking them off and putting them back on shows you just how durable they are. Also you have to be careful not to accidentally pull the tape off when pulling the mirrors off.METHOD 3: LEAVE MIRRORS ON & PUSH SIDEVIEW MIRROR INFinally I just left the mirrors on then pushed the side view mirrors in and they stayed on during the whole wash. (See video) They may need to be readjusted after a wash but that’s a lot easier than sticking them back on.If you are really concerned then just order another pack just in case. Hopefully the survive the winter. If anything changes I’ll update the review.

I drive a 2015 Prius (3), and am 5' 11". I do a lot of highway driving, and a lot of passing. After a few close calls, I realized I have some serious blind spots. After looking at a few options, these mirrors seemed like the best solution. I wanted something that blended with the look of the car, was adjustable, and seemed solid/robust.I've had them about a week, and so far, they are just what I needed. They work even better than expected. It took a bit of getting used to - when to look at the blind spot mirrors versus the main side mirrors - but now I feel I have a much better sense of the vehicles on either side of my car. I'm very glad I used the adjustable mount option, as it took a bit of tweaking to get the right angle compared to the angle of the main mirror.I rented a car last week, a 2018 Ford Focus 5-door, which had built-in blind-spot mirrors, very similar to these. It felt like confirmation that all cars should have this feature, and that I'd made a good decision in adding them to my car.The other concern I had was with fit and finish, but these look great to me. I doubt anyone would think they weren't original. In my haste to use them, I didn't quite match up the location of them on each mirror, but I don't notice, and doubt anyone else would.My only worry now is if the 3M glue will hold up. I did my best to clean the mirrors first, so hopefully they'll last.// UPDATE: Have had these for years now. They hold up through car washes and anything else. Surprisingly robust.

Upon opening the kit, I see that the mounts are two plates of different size. One is the ball joint, the other is the mounting cup. From what I have discovered, this mirror can ONLY be mounted as a pivoting adjustable mirror. The instructions show the ability to mount without the pivot. However, unless you modify and destroy the pivot plate, there is no way to mount it flat against the mirror. Plus, there is only one piece of adhesive tape included in the kit to mount it as the pivot set up. Nothing else. So, if you modify it, you need to buy more adhesive regardless.That being said, the curve of the mirror is not enough to work that well if used flat. So much of the blind spot would be lost, thus negating the purpose. That lesser curve also works in your favour, as it does not distort the images around you so much. I have mounted one of the mirrors as a trial. This does seem to work for the blind spot, but I am still getting used to it too. I find I still look over the shoulder anyways. Good habits.
