Not a professional set, best given to children.
Definitely not a professional set. I feel the quality of everything included could easily be found in a children's colouring box set, which is exactly what it feels like, yet they’ve just thrown it into a nice wooden box to appeal to a wider audience. I would struggle to even recommend this to a novice looking for a cheaper option to get into drawing as the results are not great. The pigmentation in everything is poor, and I feel any serious work would be let down using this set. If after something for simple doodles and messing around these will most likely do, as said I do feel it's more of a children's set, but the fancy wooden box and quality paper sheets it comes with makes this product confusing as to who its supposed to be for.Better off getting each thing individually at a cheaper price. At most could be given to a kid so they feel they are getting a professional set with how it comes packaged.

Mindfull
It’s been a bit of a rainy week here in Manchester and I know you’ll find this hard to believe but even so Duncurin thought that it was an ideal opportunity to run up this wonderful art box, courtesy of Vine and Artibox. It’s an elegant set with a nice wooden slim box, nice linked handle, so that it’s easy to carry. Upon opening said case, all the contents are retained nicely. The sandpapers were a little wayward and wanted to fall out but everything else was presented and retained beautifully. This then is a visually appealing and practical set. You can see at a glance the contents and of course select accordingly. The cakes of watercolour paints have nice plastic covers so that after use and if they are not fully dry – it doesn’t create a mess as you close the case.Duncurin is no artist but I do like a bit of mindfulness with the best of them. I downloaded a suitable image and away we went. This is a nice relaxing pastime for a rainy day (I guess I’ll be doing more this winter !) There is a nice range of pencil crayons, pastel crayons and of course the watercolour blocks. Together this makes for a nice and effective range of colour and of course especially with the watercolour some blending is possible though there isn’t a palette/container supplied for this purpose. Also within the set are a couple of nice quality graphite pencils and an eraser and the sandpapers. This is the perfect set for the beginner and the person who is interested in colour, drawing but not a full-blown artist.I thought that it would make a perfect present for a beginner, someone keen on mindfulness and perhaps an older child with an interest in art.My image came together quickly. I’d printed it out on to a bog-standard sheet of A4 paper and thus the watercolours wrinkled the paper a little but of course using a heavier gauge of paper would solve this. In addition, there are a couple of nice quality paper booklets enclosed. So, Duncurin enjoyed using this set for a couple of hours one afternoon this week and it’s perfect for someone like me who is not a serious artist. Of course, the Derwent range, set at a higher price point, that Duncurin has been lucky to review has a much greater range of colours and products and is pitched at the more serious, gifted, professional artist but for those on the lower range of ability or someone just starting out one could do worse than try this nice set. Thank You.

Great set
This is a fantastic set, the coloured pencils seem like very good quality as do the rest of the pieces in the set. I love the fact it comes in a wooden carry case with a handle that feels like leather (it could be fake leather!) 100% recommend this

Art set
This Art case comes in a wooden box that looks of really high quality and belies the inexpensive price tag. This comes with a range of coloured pencils, graphite pencils, pastels, watercolour paints, a pencil sharpener and more. The closure clips seems sturdy and the handle has a nice grip to it.The art materials are reasonable considering the price and whilst they may not be the highest quality, they are good enough to get you started. This is a great kit, with a good range of art media so you can try them out and decide to explore them in a little more depth down the line. The case makes it easy to transport and looks great. It'd make a great gift for beginner artists and those you'd wish to encourage.
