No not at all. I clicked out the parts and assembled them with 0 hassle. The entry grades r exactly that. For entry level builders.

Does it come with a stand?

It does NOT come with a stand. I personally use Action Base 2 stands, which run between $10 and $13 usually.

Whats the A battery for?

That must be an error in the listing because this does not require an A battery or any battery for that matter. Everything needed for this kit is included in the box.
