Men's Tom Cats Utility Shoe

I thought these were kind of low quality when I first handled them. Don’t know why, just a first impression. I think because they just looked so well-made and pristine like they should belong on a mannequin or something. I’m used to tactical boots so I guess I was biased. But after a couple years of owning these, there isn’t a hint of wear on them anywhere and the leather is in perfect condition. and I’m big and heavy and wear these five days a week walking to and from my car and sometimes all day at work. Every once in a while, I touch them up with some quick touch up polish and they look like they came right out of the box brand new. Awesome quality, definitely true to size as a wide 14, the only thing I’d improve is a bit more cushion in the stock insert, but I fix that with some high-quality inserts or plain old Dr. sholls. The souls on these shoes are particularly firm and hard adding to the feeling of a lack of cushion, but they’re crazy durable because after two years there isn’t a hint of wear on the soles, whereas my bates Oxfords and tactical boots have all the asymmetric wear associated with my mechanics.

I've owned about 8 pairs of these same shoes in both brown and black. They last about 18 months for me, wearing them 5 days a week in an office environment. I also take them on a 2-mile walk every day on a paved path near my office. That gives these shoes some decent exercise. They're comfortable, fit well, have good traction, and look nice without being too dressy. Overall, they're quite durable, although the smooth surface of the "leather" does gouge somewhat easily if scuffed on something sharp. Also, I had one pair that got stepped on, and the toe caved in and could never be popped back out fully. I typically wear out the uppers before the soles show much wear. The typical point of failure for me is where the upper meets the sole, right at the ball of the foot, where the shoe flexes the most. Eventually, that area cracks and separates from the rubber sole, and it's time to buy another pair. These supposedly have a "leather upper", but if that's true it's really thin, and backed by fabric. They have a look and feel that lands somewhere between synthetic and real leather. They're a fair step up from a truly synthetic material, but don't compare to a real leather shoe in my opinion. For the money, these are a good buy, and I'll keep buying them.

I have worn the heavier version,Mariner Utility Boot, for a decade. That version price went to 95, so tried these. A month in, and I'm very happy. these aren't as heavy, but seem very strong and durable. I'm an irrigation contractor, so my boots get wet and muddy daily.

Pretty comfortable, but leather (?) cracked pretty early on. I mostly just wear these at work and don’t walk THAT much during my shift, so I was disappointed to see them crack so soon. They still fit and feel comfortable but they are getting ugly.

comodisimos! Aparentan ser pesadotes e incomodos ,pero son realmente comodos incluso para andar bastante y son de muy buena calidad.
