Better Than Factory
This is a replacement for the blender cutting blade and gaskets. My glass carafe was fine, but the gaskets had begun to leak. This appears to be a factory quality replacement. For DIYer's PLEASE NOTE: 1) the bottom nut that holds the gaskets and large washers is purposefully tightened counterclockwise (or if you prefer the "lefty loosey" mnemonic, it is "lefty tighty"). This is not uncommon since the blade turns clockwise (looking into the carafe) and it would loosen the nut with use otherwise. Everything else is "clockwise" or "righty tighty". The carafe is difficult to clean of the old gaskets because there isn't much space to get your hand in. The bottom gaskets were straightforward. Mine kit came with a spare washer to squeeze the gaskets. If you try to use it, the bottom nut won't fit. Don't overtighten or you'll risk cracking the carafe. Mine worked fine after installing… no leaks.

The function was great
Perfect fit. I had to cut the old blade out but the new one went in without a problem.

Perfect replacement part, even better than just replacing o-rings
This is the complete cutting assembly with all washers and the many needed sealing o-rings. My blender jar had begun to leak, even with the assembly periodically tightened. I was going to replace just the o-rings (there are 4) but decided to try the entire assembly of 18 pieces, not including the blender jar or top. Glad I did because the new, much sharper, blades, have made a positive difference to blended drinks.PRO's: perfect replacement parts, crazy easy to install, almost a new blender for only a Jackson.CON's: getting old assembly out of blender jar can be problematic. To remove old assembly, most instructions have you remove the wagon wheel coupling on the bottom of the jar by stuffing the jar with a towel to keep the blades from turning, and unscrewing the coupling. Unfortunately, this did not work for me. The coupling was screwed to the shaft more strongly than the cap nut on the top of the shaft inside the blender and that cap nut came off first. So what to do? After removing the cap nut and blades, put a long piece of wood against the top of the shaft and tap (not pound, not ram, just tap) the wood until the shaft comes out the bottom. Yes, there is a risk of breaking the bottom of the glass jar, but I saw no other way of removing the coupling. After the shaft is removed, us a 7/8" wrench on the bottom and 7/8" socket and extension inside to hold the respective nuts. This nut is reverse-threaded, like a propane tank connection, so clockwise loosens (the opposite of "lefty-loosey, righty-tighty").I have two of these glass blender jars and I replaced the cutting assembly on both. The first took about 15 minutes to figure it out, the second took less than 3.

Almost a Perfect Fit!
It could be that our blender is older but I had to remove one extra rubber washer to allow tightening of the nut that holds the assembly to the glass, otherwise it worked flawlessly! No leaks and back in business for another 20 years!

Quality replacement part that fits perfectly
Has given new life to my 25 year old Waring professional blender. Another reviewer, Tomas, has provided an exploded parts diagram of this assembly - use that as the reference when fitting the part and you won't go wrong. Ignore those who say they are extra parts you should dispose of!!!One point that might help people remove the old part is that the larger nuts that screw to the carafe body have a reverse thread. By which I mean that, instead of turning clockwise to tighten like most nuts, they turn clockwise to loosen. Knowing this will save you lots of time trying to get the old part off - I spent quite a bit of time making it a tiny bit tighter before realising it was reverse thread, after which it came off in a few seconds.

Don't waste your money
My cutting assembly in my original blender jar flew off during use. Rather than buy a new blender, or even a blender jar (which got terrible reviews, and was still more expensive than I thought it should be), I tried this. I watched the videos and read the instructions. Ha! It's ridiculous. It's impossible to get it to work. It's either too tight to even spin, or it leaks all over. There is no middle ground. Such a waste of money and effort.

Perfect fit for my stainless steel carafe
There were no instructions with the blender blade assembly but it was pretty easy to figure out. Only exception were the 3 extra washers with the replacement not like the original. I just used them between the base and the pitcher part of carafe, worked great!

Perfect fix instead of buying a new jar or blender
The shaft on our blender broke after ~10years so I decided I'd try this before buying a new jar or new blender. The price was right so I gave it a try. It was an exact fit and I didn't have to remove the whole assembly from the old jar. Only needed the 6" extension on the socket wrench and it was back in business in less than 5 minutes. Now it's just like new.Only funny note is that it came in just a box with no other packaging. There were holes all over the box from it banging around. I bet the shipping guys loved that. The blades looked fine though.
