This ice maker is precisely as advertised. It arrived in perfect condition. Set up was easy. We used distilled water. The ice was CLEAR. It becomes a little cloudy when put in the freezer, but becomes clear again when liquid is poured around the ice cubes. The first ice came out in about seven minutes. Since the water recirculates and gets colder and colder, subsequent ice came out even faster and faster. The bin does not hold a lot of ice. And, it is only insulated. It is not refrigerated. So, I transferred the ice to a plastic box and put it in the freezer right away. I found out that if I didn't transfer the ice out of the maker until the bin was filled, the ice was a little wet and when I put it in the freezer, all the cubes stuck together. When I transferred the ice to the freezer pretty soon after it was made, I did not have any problem with the ice sticking together in large clumps. I found the sound level of the machine to be quite low. I expected it to be much louder. Over all, I would say this this ice maker is worth every penny. I'm not sure how they make it for such a small amount of money.

Followed all the directions and started it up. Very quiet and makes ice within the specified time, but then the problem begins. The ice has to partially melt to fall off into the tray. This melt off takes another 2 minutes, so the 7 minutes to make ice is really 9 minutes because there is no way to access the ice even though it is done at 7 minutes. The tray then goes up and down, rotating forward and backward multiple times trying to drop the ice out into the area where it is pushed into the basket. The ice is continually stuck behind the metal posts that the ice forms on. Approximately 3 of the 9 cubes will actually fall forward and be pushed into the basket. The machine will try 4 or 5 more times to tip the cubes out, but it just isn't tipping far enough forward for the cubes to fall out. Then, instead of immediately starting the next cycle of creating 9 more cubes it stops. The only way to get more cubes is to turn the machine off and then back on. It is incredibly frustrating - the cubes are beautifully formed but none end up usable as they sit, inaccessible, back in the tray where they've dropped off until melted.The machine has been sitting upright for greater than 24 hours. The ambient temperature is right in the middle of the recommended range, as is the water temperature poured into the reservoir. The machine is sitting on a perfectly level surface with greater than the average ventilation space around it. I've tried making small and large cubes. I've tried each size 3 times, thinking maybe it just needed to get warmed up. It simply looks as if the tray that catches the cubes after they drop off does not tip far enough forward. Did I just get a defective machine? I wanted to love this thing!!! It is not usable at all. Would be better off with an ice cube tray at this point. SO disappointed.

I bought this to use in the RV since running out for bags of ice can be a nuisance. I have got to say, this machine is amazing . It churns out 9 ice cubes about every 10 minutes. And I mean it is 10 minutes to the first batch of 9 cubes from the minute you turn it on. And if quick wasn't enough, it makes hollow cubes that have more surface area than solid ice cubes which means they cool your beverage faster. In addition to fast and good cubes, it is really fun to watch the machine at work. You can observe the whole process from a little tray full of water that lifts up to the freezer rods then the ice cubes falling off the rods and then being swept from the hopper into the ice bucket area by a little paddle. It is truly a masterpiece of mechanical timing and function. I am completely impressed and would highly recommend buying one of these to anyone who is tired of buying bags of ice.

That it didn’t last for long.It stop working after 3 months.

I received the first ice maker, it didn't make ice at all. It turned on, the air was blowing, all the parts were moving, but the freezing element wasn't freezing the water. I contacted the seller, they sent UPS to pick up the non working ice maker, and at the same time, shipped a new one out THAT DAY!! No waiting for their return to come back!! The next one came just as quickly as the first, I ran it through 3x complete cycles, all were perfect cycles, and then I ran another cycle for the ice I would be keeping. AMAZING! I filled 2 medium size freezer bags with ice. Now I no longer have to take up a ton of freezer space with bags of ice, or forget to fill the ice trays. This product is truly amazing! Very happy with every aspect of this purchase. Having a $40 off coupon made it a steal.

This product has been an absolute lifesaver. Before I bought this product I would have to go buy ice or make the ice in a little tray as I make a lot of smoothies and the such. Now i just put water in this and it makes ice on its own. No more hassle or waste or money on grocery store ice or little trays of homemade ones. It fits right on my kitchen counter as well as to not take up too much room in the kitchen. It is clutter free and really efficient. While making the ice this product makes minimal sound making sure it is not annoying in any way.

I called the company I got. all The info and permission I need to send it back. Before I could do anything with that information I fell and broke my hip. My house is too small for a wheel chair so I have been staying with family until I am able to return I have no idea whether they will take it back now are not. I had a good friend come over and close and lock everything up for me as I left in a ambulance. With my nearest relative being 320 miles from home. It's going to be a while before I get a chance to deal with the ice Maker.. When, It was working It worked okay. It freezes the water quickly and drops it into a tray. The ice is wet the entire time because it is not a freezer.
