Phoenix 11.5' Professional Triangle Sun Shade Sail Desert Sand Color, Includes All Mounting Hardware

I have ordered several of these sun shades (in both square and this triangle shape) over the past few months to create some shade in the backyard.I have received two distinctly different quality products for items identically listed on Amazon. The fabric in the order I received is identical to the "cheap" sunshade material i ordered a year or so ago at half the price and the hardware shipped as the "...professional kit" is a joke- much thinner gauge and smaller metal components (galvanized vs stainless as listed). The first time this happened I returned the item, assumed it was a mistake and re-ordered. The second order was the same lower quality shades. Unfortunately I needed the shade for a party so i went ahead and mounted one and am stuck with it. We'll see how they compare.Having said all that- the higher quality sunshades are fantastic!As a follow-up, after a fourth order and contact with the manufacturer, i received the correct shade and hardware kit. Also, the listing on amazon has been updated to clearly define the home kit vs professional- i suspect i was being shipped the home kit instead of professional for the incorrect orders.

although it doesn't fit the area we need it for, we knew it wouldn't when we ordered it. Very strong and we modified it a bit so it is perfect. Should have ordered one a long time ago. Totally worth the price.

The canopy is a great, inexpensive option to shade small areas. We bought this for our back patio to shade the hot AZ sun until we can get a back patio put in. It's durable enough to sustain our heavy winds as long as you have something sturdy to attach both ends to.

Already had and one of these (different brand); adding a second. I purchased this, the kit, because it came with necessary mounting hardware (many you have to purchase that separately). Unfortunately the hardware left something to be desired. Sturdy and all, but the mounting bracket screws included do not fit the brackets they are intended to mount! Screws are too big to fit through the holes in the brackets!Quality of the shade its self is great. Good stitching, sturdy rings at each corner and good quality fabric.If you purchase just be ready to make a trip to the hardware store to find the right screws to put it up.

While this shade sail description indicates that it's the Professional model, it was not the same quality, nor the same color (both were desert sand) as 18.5' triangle shade from Phoenix. The material was much more lightweight as was the hardware. The color was more of a light corn color; nice, but we wanted it to match the 2 18.5' triangle shades from Phoenix that we recently installed - we are very pleased with the 18.5' triangle shades. I've posted a review for the 18.5' triangle as well.

Reseller admits that it is made by a different mfg and does not match the texture or color of the square sail. I ordered and have both. The quality is good on both, but they do look different from each other. The reseller refused to do anything to remedy the situation. If you're buying only one shape, then I recommend it, but if buying different shapes, consider going with someone else that guarantees they are going to match...

Now I used this devise for something that most people would never think of, i.e., to provide shade in my dog's outdoor area. It really came in handy, has held up well, and provides good shade. Who would have ever thought?

While this product is ok for the price, it's not what I'd hoped. I'll backtrack by saying that I first bought a Coolaroo Sun Shade. So I thought that I'd save myself some money by getting a couple of the Phoenix sun shades, and was that ever a mistake. They don't even come close to the quality of the Coolaroo (you get what you pay for). The hardware that comes with the Phoenix is tiny compared to the Coolaroo, and the Coolaroo is high grade, HEAVY stainless. The fabric used in the Phoenix is very light compared to the Coolaroo, and lets considerably more sun through. Do yourself a big favor and spend the extra money for the Coolaroo. You won't be disappointed.
