It’s works great, if absolutely a last resort!!!
Mechanic did me a solid and installed at reasonable cost. I can’t imagine any mechanic you don’t know well would take the risk and install this.It works flawlessly BUT it requires constant mental reminders that your foot is on the gas. I only drove locally in town. I had two instances where I thought I had my foot on the brake coming to a stop sign and it was on the gas. Fortunately nothing happened but it could be disastrous. Eventually I drove cross footed when my bad leg felt good but still in cast.As stated in title I would use as a last resort.

Great for those of us who only have a left leg
Having recently lost my right leg to cancer and needing to get back into my truck I found this to be valuable. The product was not too hard to install - the worst part was my truck frame ran right under one bolt which was tricky. If installing on a car it should be much easier. The unit has a lot of adjustment to allow you to space it properly and the adjust the play in the accelerator peddle. Once adjusted properly it functions very well. This device allows me to sit straight in the seat instead of cocked to the right and I don’t cramp up stretching for the accelerator peddle any more. This also saved me thousands of dollars from having a “specialty” installer do the same work.I am very pleased with this item and the ability to drive my truck a little bit more safely than before.

Don't get gouged by disabled conversion shops. But this, have it installed by a competent person
was disappointed the sacramento, ca area disabled mobility car conversion shops would not install a piece not purchased from them. They are totally gouging the disabled clients by asking for either 700 or 1700 for the pedal purchased from them and their install. I get the liability issues, but I am certain there could be a waiver of liability form of they wanted to offer there services like most mechanic shops would if you purchase your own parts. It isn't like it takes a magical person like Harry potter to bolt something on, they aren't that special to command that much money. Thankfully we have a handy friend...Received it Saturday and had it installed by a Jack of all trades Sunday. I purchased this for my mother who has a mild form of cerebral palsy. It was installed into a Hyundai ionic 2018 hybrid. Fit fine. Installer had a hell of a time with his new drill bits getting thru multiple metal plates. He considered welding but finally got thru. He did wish he had a longer drill bit than the standard ones in a lot for this process after 1.5 hours Of work and accepting of $75 for the install he was finished. It has an easy release with a round pin you pull to remove the left pedal. But I just go ahead and use the left accelerator pedal when using her car. Been used to that since I started driving as a teen. Was concerned about the strength of the pin, but the Jack of all trades iinstaller gave it his blessing and said it is a sturdy pin being stainless steel. It is not like the pedal we had prior to this in her older 96 civic dx. That one I could flip down for easy access for the right accelerator users. This one requires detachment with the simple action of pulling a pin. I am excited to show her her new car and pedal when she is ready to get behind the wheels. They were both surprises for her. Am assuming it Will be soon because driving around in an old 96 civic beater without air conditioning in Sacramento when it necessary will get old quickly. Love your differently abled person in your life and also be Kind to your wallet with this thing. I haven't wrecked the car yet and it is sensitive and functional

LFA Is A Smart & Safe Alternative To Driving “Cross Footed”
LFA works great with a bit of patience & attention to detail during installation & adjustment. I have these in 2 cars, this unit bolted to floor in muscle car & AMM version (same mechanism w/ slightly different pedal finish) on the portable plate in daily driver. I still had to run 2 screws into floor with the portable plate as it lifted off floor above half throttle, will likely bolt it to floor when I get around to it. Flatness of floor & firewall angle will determine placement - locate as far forward under brake pedal as you can so your heel can stay off the base. The quick release is a nice touch to remove the assembly, watch the video online. Depending on driver competence there will be an adjustment period to develop feel & touch with left foot along with moving to the right for brake pedal. Be responsible & practice before you jump into traffic & be sure to concentrate to avoid pedal confusion. I probably have 3+ hours of use between the 2 cars and consciously remind myself what pedal I’m on when anticipating any sort of potential transition - “brake, brake, brake” when on the brake & same for gas. I’m sure it will become natural shortly but for now I’m very attentive.*Update* I have now used this for a while & think it works great. I have become comfortable using it & the feel is becoming natural. I bought a third unit with portable plate to use in wife’s car or something else I might be inclined to drive. I like them.

GLAD I FOUND IT.
I was going to be in a right foot cast then a boot for a total of three months. Yikes. I don't know why other units cost three times more, but l do know that this works great, only cost $100 for installation and was very easy to get used to. I don't agree with any of the negative reviews, but, since you are supposed to bolt through the floor it is not a project for the typical do-it- yourselfer.

Works well but could be more durable for some of its parts.
Bought the accelerator and the base for my car. It works fine. I wish it had a way to flip the paddle backward and allow anyone else to drive the car normally without having to remove the entire equipment out, which is a little heavy. My dad weld me a manual paddle that was a lot more simpler to adjust with different drivers. The springs could be a little more durable and well screwed so it doesn’t come off easily after wear and tear.
