Abnormal position for a dog's, with that said this bag is awesome for what it is for but you should only use this 2 or 3 times a week (given that is a more than a hour ride).My Russell terrier mix is 30lbs and she got the Large. I don't use it a lot but when necessary, it's an abnormal position to carry a dog. I limit to one or two hour 3 for 4 times a week

The media could not be loaded. I was packing up the K9 Sports Sack last night to go on a bike ride with the pup on my back and was thinking about how much mileage I’ve gotten out of this bag. I bought this in August of ‘22 and have used it hundreds of times since. It’s gone on day hikes, over night backpacking trips, long bikes rides, and been great to have for walking in the park on a hot day when the pup gets tired. The bottom pocket and water bottle holders have allowed i to carry a good amount of essentials without the bag feeling too bulky or cumbersome. The padding in the shoulder straps and hip belts has held up really well for the amount of use the bag has gotten. (Knock on wood) there have been no tears in the stitching or breaking of zippers over the years.All in all if you have a little adventure buddy who isn’t always up for strenuous hike or like the breeze on bike ride, this bag will suit you well.

Overall solid bag that is well made. I agree with some reviewers that I think the bottom of the bag where my dog’s butt and feet go should certainly be more comfortable. That thing feels like a brick. Should definitely have some high quality padding in there to make him feel more comfortable and to be better on his joints and hips. I plan on putting a soft thin yoga towel in there to get some cushion. One thing is that you don’t want to put your dog in with the bag standing vertical, you’ll want him to lay down on all fours and slide it under and strap him in (luckily my dog is smarter than me and literally showed me how to do it because my boyfriend and I were trying to git him to sit in the bag when it was vertical.) overall the bag is well made and I’m happy with it. Do I think it’s over priced? Maybe. But their is no amount I wouldn’t spend to have my dog by my side (or in this case back) on a nice bike ride by the beach. He’s 32 pounds pure mutt and the large worked great.Update: I’ve used the bag more than 10 times now and here is what I would like to add to the review. Overall, I still think it’s a great bag, it’s easier to get my dog in after practice and now that he knows what to expect. I still think the bottom is extremely hard, the yoga towel does work nicely though because it’s really thin and we don’t have a ton of room to work with in there. My dog stays put really easy, although sometimes he will shift his weight when he is uncomfortable, luckily, with the way the bag is designed it doesn’t impact my bike ride and I don’t feel like either of us are in danger if he does lol. I do agree there could be more room for extra storage pockets, however, being a petite woman, I am not sure I would store much in there based on the weight of my dog. I got a bike basket for the front of the bike and that does the trick without putting too much additional weight on my person. You could use carabiners in some areas of the pack as well based on what you are trying to carry. I am really happy I bought this pack and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again.Update: 100 bike rides later. Still loving it, are you considering it? Do it. My dog practically jumps into this now, no hesitation and so happy he’s getting an experience. Once of the best if not the best purchase on Amazon. Money means making experiences for those you love and this is one of them.

Horrible quality. Used only twice with my dog the first time the collar strap loosened after going down the stairs. There's no practical location to take it off and adjust. I ended up grabbing the material and holding it as close to me as I could so she wasn't flopping around the bag. 2nd time today went to use it and the collar strap was completely frayed around the buckle. I tightened all of the straps really well. Walked a couple feet then had to squat to ask my nephew to move my dog because both of her legs where over my right shoulder. 30 seconds later she twisted around again. Wasted a lot of money for something that is falling apart and no way to make comfortable for a slim medium sized dog with long legs

I have a 19lb sausage dog. He fits perfectly in this, absolutely loves to go for a bike ride. My family gives me grief about it but he loves it. Lots of looks from people with him on my back. haha. Love it!

We wanted to bring our recently adopted pug with us on our anniversary trip, but knew the hiking trails wouldn’t work for her due to the terrain. I came across reviews for this and decided to give it a try. She LOVES it! We were able to enjoy 9 miles of trails with her just cruising in her sack. She was totally calm and enjoyed the views and smells, and lots of pets from fellow hikers who thought she was absolutely adorable. No issues adjusting it between my husband and myself with easy transitions. We took her out a few times on the easier terrain and for water/snacks, and she hopped right back in once we were ready to keep moving. There is plenty of room; we fit two yeti water bottles, snacks, her water bowl and an extra sweater easily in the bottom compartment. I did wear it with her around the house to get her used to it before our trip, and I’d recommend helping your buddy get used to it by doing that before heading out. Overall we are so happy with this pack and plan to add some patches for her lol I would highly recommend this for anyone who likes adventuring with their fur baby. For reference she is 11 pounds and we got the small, I plan to buy the booster insert for her.
