Bittersweet, heartbreaking yet utterly satisfying🎗️🌹
I'm going to start with stating that this series is no doubt going to be on my top 10 of the year list and the year just started so the fact that I'm pretty much head over heels in love with this series is apparent. 🎗️🎗️🎗️I want to write something about a few characters who made a lasting impression on me besides Lou and Reid.First is obviously 𝘈𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘭 . That boy stole my heart and my sanity and left me in pieces. There is still a vise around my heart whenever I think about him. He deserved so much 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 . Wherever you are, be at peace mon amour.Next is 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢 . In some ways, she reminded me so much of Gollum from Lotr. Not completely no. Nicholina's character was much, much deeper. The villainess was moulded from centuries of pain, heartbreak and debilitating fear. She lost her way and went too, too far. Her penance will continue even after death. But I am glad she did the right thing in the end.To 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘪𝘳𝘦, 𝘝𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊è𝘭𝘪𝘦, you girls broke the norm. You threw away the shackles of expectation and ground the patriarchy into dust. You showed the world that Age and Gender do not matter, only courage does.Lou and Reid are both two halves of a single soul. Not prejudice, not circumstance, not magic and not even death can keep these two apart. Live your life together. I'll visit you both for a re-read soon.@Shelby Mahurin. Me, along with thousands of readers are so, so glad you decided to take the plunge and put the stories in your head out into the world. We cannot be more grateful to be a part of this incredible world. Looking forward to more of your works. 🌹

Get it!
Buy it! Read It! One of the stories you should know. Such lovable characters indeed. The last chapter is just etched in my heart for as long as I can remember. I missed a few characters in the last book, as bittersweet as it was I will adore it and I thank the author for this delight.

Sumptuous!
Shelby Mahurin’s debut novel (trilogy) Serpent and Dove is one of the most amazing journey in fantasy genre. The teen fiction is not just about magic and romance, it is a journey one can never get tired of. Not only based on romance but of friendship and the strong bond shared between the characters. Visually pleasing in your own world as the author made the reader goes in their own journey, one gets involved in the story and gets never tired of it. An ideal journey indeed!

A highly satisfying ending!!
Spoiler alert!!You are going to cry!!This crying will include all kinds of tears, frustrated tears, sad tears, happy tears .. but it will all be worth it!! After reading blood and honey I was highly worried that the ending will be bad, but it was just perfect, for almost everyone :(... I am not disappointed at all. Hope others are also not disappointed.

Size is different
The book is smaller in size as compared to the other 2 books in the series. The quality was otherwise nice and the condition the book came in was good.

Nostalgia Strikes
This book ties up a lot of loose ends but it also gives us more questions. I hear there is a spin-off series releasing soon. Waiting for Reid and Lou to make a comeback sometime...

Speechless👌🏾
After reading the second book of the series I felt disappointed because I felt in love with serpent and dove. But because I didn’t want to leave the series unfinished, I push myself to buying the third and let me tell you I DO NOT REGRET IT💗 This was the perfect ending for the series, each chapter left me wanting more and I even cried with some of them. I would totally recommend the series just for the 1st and 3rd book, literally you will fall in love with every character and each drama!

An epic conclusion for some of my favorite characters of all time
YES. YES. A million times yes. Reid is still my favorite. Lou was absolutely spectacular. And Beau, surprisingly, climbed the ranks. The epic conclusion to the Serpent & Dove trilogy was absolutely perfect. We wrap up all of the intense storylines, we have all our favorite characters doing the things we love most about them (banter, banter, and more banter), and we go out in delightful fashion. The beginning dragged for me, not because the story was dragging, but because the writing was disorienting. The descriptions and emotions just didn't flow well (obviously, there were certain characters who were acting different for *reasons* based on the ending of the previous book). That slow start was more than made up for with a great middle and conclusion. It had been a couple months and a quite a few other books read between reading Serpent & Dove, Blood & Honey, and Gods & Monsters - to the point I had very much forgotten characters that were casually mentioned in previous books and reappeared here. I think there were a lot of assumptions that the reader wouldn't need to be reminded who those characters were. I would have appreciated the nice SLAP in the face, drown me with the quick summary as to why we should remember this character and why they were important to bring up now. While the ending was EVERYTHING, I think I still felt a bit... disappointed. Not because it didn't deliver, because it did, but I think I imagined it being more. There was a death that was unnecessary, didn't serve the plot at all, and didn't make me feel anything. Sadly, at that point, I was thinking 'get on with it and go back to the main plot' which is a hard cringe for me.The epilogue was a nice touch, but I think it might have been trying a little too much. Once again, I wanted that SLAP in the face reminder that we did not get at all. Left me wanting more, and not in a good way. Still, Reid and Lou's storyline wrapped up quite nicely. The tension throughout the book with them was absolutely thrilling. I am saddened that I will not get more of them.

Wie die Anderen Teile auch gut erzählt
Evtl bißchen schwach gegen Ende, aber der Aufbau war gut
