Adventurous, fast-paced
"There are some things that can’t be carved from a person, no matter how far from home they’ve sailed."You know how we outgrow things that we used to love when we were young? For instance, I used to love fantasy, but somewhere while growing up, I don't really know what happened, but books like Throne of Glass series or The Folk of the Air series, just don't seem to resonate with me like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson did.I assumed it was due to change of taste, but the awesome Fable duology made me realize what complete bs all my assumptions were, and when it comes to books, age is just another number.Unlike other fantasy series, this book has more magical realism than just plain old magic. There are no fire wielding magical beings, but the sea is portrayed as a mythical being with her own secrets and mysteries. That is such a new concept which we don't get to see as often, especially in YA books.I loved the book, and if you too want to reconnect with your younger self who used to love fantasy and fancy yourself a nice sea adventure, pick this duology up.

This is the story of a girl who loves sea and her father who loves her.
As I completed Fable, I’m compelled to read the next book in the duology that is Namesake. It starts with where the first book fable take off.🌊Plot:As first book ends with Zola kidnapping Fable and she finds clove being alive and he’s with Zola. Fable gets completely broken and betrayed by clove.Zola sets to go to Bastian with Fable as dredger and he wants to meet Holland and clear his name with her. But the fact is Holland is not a kind person to leave Zola alone. Fable learns that she is a pawn in Saints game again. There’s a big twist about Fable’s mother, so many things which Fable doesn’t know. This is a politics between Saint and Holland and narrows and unnamed sea where Fable and her crew are just pawns. To find out who wins you need to read.🌊I loved how this whole plot felt like heist. The search for the midnight across unnamed sea felt like heist.I love how author portrayed the love between Fable and Saint. Every scene of Fable and Saint filled with so many emotions that sometimes I can’t take which is what I loved the most.Whenever the memory of Isolde that Fable thinks of, it always feels magical to read. The lengths of Fable and West go for each other is unearthly beautiful.🌊Book cover:I’m so in love with the book cover. It’s the perfect cover to complete the book one. Which is so beautifully done. It also contains the midnight on it which is really stunning. The very details of violent intrusions on stone is phenomenal.🌊Author:This is the first of her works I read and I’m loving her writing. Her imagination about the sea and the story written with it is something wondrous. I love her way of writing. The way she makes you feel every gem in the books is some different I felt while reading.

Ame el desenlace de estos dos libros, realmente me gustó leer la historia de Fable, como se va creando el amor y como las amistades se van afianzando, y aunque eran enemigos para sobrevivir también son amigos... amoooo

Beautifully written and so much fun to read!
Series Info/Source: This is the second book in the Fable duology. I bought this for my Kindle.Story (5/5): This story was so good. Fable starts out the book as a prisoner to one of her father’s ex-thugs. Her kidnapping leads to a surprise from her past that she never could have guessed. There is a lot of amazing adventure, as well surprising twists and turns, and some intriguing intrigue in this book. Everyone around her seems to have secrets and she needs to survive both the unveiling of these secrets and her adventures to finally find peace.Characters (5/5): This continues to have amazing characterization throughout the book. We learn some stunning secrets about nearly every character and there is a lot of character growth as well. I loved the characters in this story; they are so human and yet so hopeful.Setting (5/5): We journey to a new part of the world in this book and it is just as amazing as all the places we visited in the first book. I continue to really love the description of the settings when Fable is doing free dives in the ocean. The description in here is excellent and settings really come alive for the reader.Writing Style (5/5): This book is effortless to read, the writing flows beautifully and the amazing description makes the whole world really come alive. Everything about the writing here is perfection. I really enjoyed Young’s “Sky in the Deep” series as well. There is just something about Young’s writing style that really works well for me. I do think that this Fable series was a step up in quality from the “Sky in the Deep” series. My Summary (5/5): Overall I really loved both this book and this whole duology. This was awesome young adult adventure fantasy at its best. The description, the world, the characters, the adventure...all of it was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy adventure fantasy. I can’t wait to see what Young comes up with next!!
