Chaco Women's Z/2 Classic Sandal

Got my pair (color/patterns: florist) for $42, a great deal I ran into with Chaco adults sandals. First impression: cushions of the Chaco footbeds in the arch area are giving me similar feelings to my Nike Benassi Duo Ultra Slide Sandal’s ($40) - they’re very thick(or high?), with plenty of support to the feet. However, Chacos don’t seem to have the same amount of cushions in the heel area as the Nike’s do. And the Chaco footbeds are much more harder, with small square patterns that kind of massage the feet (in a good way). While the Nike ones feel more of foams - very soft to the touch, but probably will deform themselves fairly quick. Conclusion: both shoes are comfortable to wear. The overall built of Chaco classic is more solid than Nike’s, and the design makes Chacos definitely a better and safer option for outdoor activities. Nevertheless, I think the Chaco cloud models might be a nicer choice if softness of the footbeds is taken into consideration. At the meanwhile I’d also like to take the opportunity to compare the Chacos and my Sctcher Misty Morning sandals, since they are of similar style/made for similar purpose. First off, these two both have contoured footbed design, but the curves are very different thus offering different support in very different areas - Chacos offers strong support mainly in the arch area, while Skechers have medium support in the arch and the heel areas. Secondly, although comfortable as well, Skechers’ footbeds are of much less friction(might be less good for hiking or climbing), and not as much of close fitting to my feet as Chacos or Nike can be (side noted that I’m not flat feet) Third, the straps of these two are made of very different materials. The Chacos’ are comfortably silkily soft that they are made to be fully customizable (you’ll need to pull and push to tighten or loosen those straps in order to make the shoes fit). While the Skechers’ straps are stiff and rough - they can be customized as well at a certain level. But like other people have been complaining, the triangle parts connecting those straps of the Skechers really hurt the feet. Conclusion: Chacos and Skechers both make comfortable sandals, but Chacos feel more of high quality than Skechers - the design pays more attention to the details and the material choices are much nicer. I think I’ll still wear my Sketchers with socks on, but not with bare feet in summertimes. PS. It really takes time with Chacos to adjust the straps. If they’re not properly adjusted, the fitting will be very awkward: the shoes can look like they’re in wrong size, and your feet can be painful wearing them especially in the toe areas. But, once the adjustment is properly done, the wearing experience is top notch. PS. Size 5.5 sandals or pumps usually fits my perfectly. But with Skechers I wear size 5, so do I wear with Chacos.

Very easy to slip into. They are very comfortable. They don't provide a lot of cushioning, but enough to provide stability with every step. These can be used in the water, and on land. Perfect for going water rafting, boating, hiking. I personally like the cross over toe feature. It makes you feel like the sandals and more secure on your feet and won't slip off. The perfect sandal for the outdoor enthusiast.

So far these are fantastic! I bought these because I am pregnant and cannot wear my normal flat flip flops this summer. I have to have a shoe with really solid arch support or I am in pain. These fit the bill! I can’t wait to go for a hike in them! I got a pair of Tevas first. They were very lightweight and easy to adjust, but the plastic piece on the side up by the toes dug in and hurt me so I returned them. Chacos are a much heavier, more substantial sandal. They have a more structured footbed. I kept the Chacos because I found them supremely comfortable. The straps hit my feet in all the right places. I have long, narrow feet. I’m usually a 10.5. Got size 11 and they’re perfect.

I am a lifelong Teva sandal wearer. Lately I feel like my arch could use more support and a friend recommended I give these a size. I ordered a women's -- that is what the description said as well as the listing title. I received what is clearly a men's size. This is an Amazon/seller error, not a Chaco error so I don't feel justified in removing stars, but I also feel I can't give it a full 5 stars since I haven't worn them other than around the house in socks (-: Overall impressions -- even though they are a full inch too long in the back, the shoe allows for adjusting so I was able to adjust the straps to fit me perfectly. These definitely have more arch support and padding in the sole. I adore the color -- a rich burgundy red with a slight pattern that gives it texture and interest. I will not hesitate to purchase these in my co-ordinating men's size and had I known that is what I would get I would have done that in the beginning.

I'm obsessed with these shoes! They are so comfortable, especially for hiking and around water. The color is very pretty too! I also appreciate that the order comes with a how-to guide for adjusting the straps. This was SO helpful to adjust them to fit my feet perfectly. Also, a little tip is to keep your eyes on the price of these. They go on sale often, and I got a really good deal after holding it in my cart for a few weeks to months. So, if you have patience, you can get a good deal and avoid paying full price!

Purchase these upon recommendation from a friend. I am happy I did. I have terrible feet, bunion, neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma....yes, my feet suck. I can wear these for longer periods and still walk (sort of...). My podiatrist saw me wearing them and did not call me out for it, so he must have approved of my sandal choice which is saying something. When you're down to just a few pair of shoes you can wear, it is nice to find another. It did take a couple days of "breaking in", but that is to be expected.

You need to have patience if you’re trying on your first ever pair of Chaco’s…setting the straps up when you first get them can be trying. The great thing is, once you customize your fit, you never have to do it again. This particular pair I received I really thought were defective, but I kept pulling at the one strap that seemed stuck. Eventually it came loose and I’m in love again. My first pair of Chaco women’s sandals lasted years. In fact, they lasted more than 18 years! These are quality sandals and they won’t let you down. I’ve hiked in all terrains in them, through mud and rivers and hot sand. They feel heavy in the hand, but not on…they just feel secure. You won’t slip around in them, even in muddy waters.

For these candles for working outside in the summer and they are cute but leave my feet covered in painful blisters

以前同じものを履いていて2足目です。 昔と変わらず歩きやすいです！ 他のメーカーは後ろがマジックテープになっていて面倒だし後ろを踏めないのでやっぱりこれが1番です。

I was actually going to send these back as soon as I first tried them on, they felt awful and I couldn’t imagine ever feeling comfortable in them. However, using the leaflet in the box and an online video I managed to adjust them to be more comfortable and easier to get on and off. I wore them around the house only to start with and have probably done minor adjustments 3/4 times - now they are perfect. I’m a size 6 UK and I’d say these run true to size. I’d recommend them as a walking sandal just don’t expect to put them on and be walking miles in them immediately.

I LIVE in these. Fit is excellent with great secure straps. I walk on river stones and the sandals just dry in the sunshine afterwards. In the garden if they get soiled I just wash with soap, water and an old tooth brush. Comfortable, nice arch support and they are also available in so many colours. LOVE THESE SANDALS!!!
