These plastic gems are great size and quality to use for potty training rewards. Great variety of shapes and colors. Note: The color is only on one will side of the gem stone and the back side is not colored.

Bought these to create a reward system with my toddler. He earns gems or coins and they go in a treasure chest. The he can exchange some for a prize or outing.These are awesome. They are a nice size and very colorful. He loves picking gems out of the bag and then plays with them in the treasure chest.I also use them for learning. He works on sorting by color, shape, same/different, patterns, counting, etc. Great manipulatives. Can even be used in craft projects. So versitile.

Overall, these are fine. Nothing super significant to complain about, but I do think it’s worth noting that the photos are a bit misleading. The photos feature eight distinct gem styles, and what you receive is not that in reality I actually received 25 different styles, which does not work for the project I am working on. I purchased them expecting the eight styles that are shown in the original photos.Like other reviewers, it is important to note that they do have a shiny silver back, and are not able to have light shine through them.The bag that they came with fits them all comfortably. They only fill about 50% of the bag.A couple of the gems look like they were scratched up in processing, but it’s nothing serious

My six-year-old is obsessed with anything Minecraft. I bought these because he asked for gems, similar to what he pretends to mine in the video game. I put these in his stocking and he was ecstatic. They would also look cute on the table top for a party.

Each kid will find a way to use these in a creative way - sorting, creating mosaics, counting, etc. Even emptying and putting back in the bag became a game for the 3 yr old. Supervise the young ones as they can be a choking hazard but these can encourage their imagination for some unstructured play time.
