Love this item
This item is not cheap, and thus why I held off buying preserve for ....awhile. ONE, it is sturdy handle that comes with ONE refillable razor (five blades in one - not one blade with five refills despite one sad reviewer that seemed confused). Personally, I have used other companies that attempt to create razors that are not owned by companies that test on animals. They were not even as lofty as Preserve's creation. Personally, I have no interest in buying from a major company that I know tests on animals, but it's been tough finding a good razor. So when I bought this item, I held off until I used it before writing this review. I am happy. Pleased. A great little investment. Honestly, I am relieved. Unlike other vegan razor companies (sorry for the shade), the actual blades did not rust. The lubrication strip did not fade after one or two uses, it's long lasting. It's a good product, and not in the sense of "good for vegan" - it's well made. Good for the earth, as well. This was a good buy.

No more nickel-allergy rashes or itching
I LOVE the Preserve razor! I was getting terrible rashes on my legs after shaving, and it turns out that I'm allergic to the nickel that's in conventional razors. Now my rash and itching is gone. When I first tried Preserve razors years ago, I didn't like them, but they've made amazing improvements to their design. Now they are more stable than Venus and other conventional women's razors I've tried in the past.I love that they're eco-friendly, which is also why I use and love the Preserve toothbrushes - plus they're BPA free. All good!

Eco-Friendliness a bit misleading, so-so shave
I switched to this razor hoping to be a bit more "green" and reduce my personal waste but unfortunately, this product is not as eco-friendly as I had hoped. The only thing made from recycled material is the handle. The blades themselves are not made from recycled material nor are they recyclable through normal municipal programs and preserve does not offer a recycling program for their products. Seeing as I already had a refillable razor handle that used similar non-post consumer material, unrecyclable blades, all this purchase has done is create extra waste I could have avoided simply by sticking with the brand I was already using. On top of that, this brand's razor blades deliver a subpar shave. I have sensitive skin but despite that have never really struggled with razor burn, these blades, however, drag against the skin and make it very irritated. Even with a completely fresh blade, I broke out on my legs after one use. Forget multiple uses when they're this dull to begin with. My previous razor I could use between 4-6 shaves (underarms and legs) before it was too dull and I had to trash it so really all this "green" razor has done for me is create more unrecyclable waste.I was quite disappointed in this outcome as I expected more from preserve after having great success with their toothbrushes.

Like the razor, hate the blades
I like that the razor is slim and doesn’t have a huge handle. I also like that there isn’t a giant moisturizing block surrounding the blade. I love the recycled materials part. But...as others have stated they do rust quickly. I’ve used it for two weeks and just put on my third blade. So am I now defeating the purpose by throwing away used blades more frequently?

Misleading listing! Razor is only ok. Disappointed.
I believe this seller intentionally wants buyers to think they are ordering 3 razors, not 1. Why not picture a single razor in the main photo (or include “ONE RAZOR” in item title), then show other color varieties in additional photos?Even under Product Description, it isn’t specified that this listing is for a single razor until more than halfway through the excessively wordy text. No new paragraph or bold font to make that fact stand out to customers (who are likely skimming the text by that point b/c seriously, who needs so many repetitive details about a razor??)True, the seller can’t be said to have failed to mention the # of items this listing is for. But that’s a technicality. If the seller cared about informing buyers, they wouldn’t be so sneaky about detailing what exactly is being purchased here. The razor itself is fine. It’s not ineffective but it’s certainly nothing special in terms of closeness-of-shave and it is NOT worth nearly $10!

Since changing over to cruelty free and non toxic beauty ...
Since changing over to cruelty free and non toxic beauty items, I also wanted to get an eco friendly razor. This razor is very flimsy and as other reviews stated every time this fell in the shower the razor head popped off. Also this product gave me serious razor burn. I ended up returning it. I'm still on the hunt for a eco friendly and cruelty free razor

rusted quick
I bought these for my daughter and first I thought 5 blade meant it came with 4 refills, wrong, one 5 blade cartridge. fine, my mistake. But after one use and two days the blades were super rusted. Maybe that's also our fault but most razors available now don't do that. I did find however that the handle fits another more easily available and less likely to rust brand so we're still using the handle.

These razors are great! I feel good knowing they haven't been tested on animals and actually work! Most razors the first time you use them give you little cuts but this razor glided so nicely even over the knees and ankles no cuts and took all the hair off
