Cisco CCENT ICND1 100-101 Network Simulator

These are the materials I have been using for CCENT & CCNA training.1st, the CBTnuggets.com video courses. Also use the ..."CCENT/CCNA ICND1 100-101 Official Cert Guide"..byWendell Odom, and its parallel related simulator..."CCENT ICND1 100-101 Network Simulator" - by Wendell Odom.Also this...."CCENT Study Guide: Exam 100-101 (ICND1)" ...by... Todd Lammle,It has a way to download it's related simulator in the back of its book.I use them to follow along with the CBTnuggets videos too.The simulators for both books EXACTLY match the chapters in their respective books! IT'S GREAT!

Good review of hands on. Good use of IOS. Drills you on what you need to know. Can't succeed with out hands on drills. This is a good tool for the exam

Good simulator with plenty of labs. Does not have free simulation.

I am copy pasting some of my communication with pearson after the activation code will not work in order for me to access the brand new simulator software i purchased.Pearson:I apologize for the issues. If the installer fails after you enter your access code please uninstall the Simulator and Adobe Air.Do not manually install Adobe Air. The Simulator program will prompt to install it's own version which will work for activation. The newest version of Adobe Air conflicts with the program preventing a complete install.If that is no help please reply and attach the log files. Paths to the log files for a default install are below./Applications/Cisco Network Simulator ICND1/_Cisco Network Simulator ICND1_installation/Logs/Users/User_Name/Library/Preferences/com.pearson.ccna.NetworkSimulator.ICND1/Local Store/logs/application.logIf this is not the issue try the above anyway and if the install still fails please provide more details of the issue. If you receive error messages please state what those error messages are. Include screen shots if possible.ThanksInformIT supportMy reply:This is beyond ridiculous.I paid 80$ for a software that obviously is one big malfunction.Obviously I did not install Adobe Air manually.I uninstalled and reinstalled and there is no problem with the installation!The only problem is after I enter the activation code I get the following message "registration failed. please contact the support team for further assistance"So either give me an activation code that works or give me my money back.I have no time to troubleshoot an issue that obviously is not my responsibility if I purchased brand new software from you.

I just bought this software about 2 months ago. It is great. It guides you thru the commands that you need to type and why you are doing it. I recommend this if you dont have the money to start your own lab but this will do. I also practice with packet tracer. The labs arent in order necessarily so that can take some getting use to.

Overall awesome simulator. I got this part of a class requirement. It helps learn and practice how to configure different networks with switches, routers, PCs etc. This helps also prepare for the Cisco CCNA certification.

For some reason the stupid thing will not install on my machine. I have been working with the Pearson tech support for over three weeks and they have tried to be helpful, but I don't think they are getting it. I have been editing registry files and sending them system logs to try and deduce the problem. The product says I can install it on up to 3 different machines, but I installed on my work machine just fine, but my home machine is failing on the registration of my Access Code. I am quite convinced this is the source of the problem. Somehow they have the Access Code as taken and it is blocking me from using the product. This lab should be a VMware package that could run anywhere not a Windows rootkit that is overriding system files. It is a simulator not an OS kernel. I would love to get it to work, because I am trying to get started with this cert, but I can't even really start reading the book until I know I have the lab installed, because I need to be doing them in sync and peak at the right time for the test.

This is a good simulator for affordable practical learning that is applied. It's a very good learning tool that walks you through the basics and explains your mistakes clearly.
