I have three house cats, that think the bathtub is their place to sleep. The tub is always full of hair, if the tub is wet they leave foot prints all over the tub. So I used five of these deterrent mats, clipped them together with the clips provided. Laid it in the tub, at first my big cat thought he was smart. He probably stepped on the mat initially, but then he just slid them over. Ok learning curve...I placed my shampoo and conditioner bottles on the sides. No room for him. It's been three days and other than the initial contact with the mats in the bath tub, no cats have laid in the tub.Cons: These are a very thin plastic so I'm not sure how durable they will be for long term use.

Our cat started peeing on our front mat due to a territorial issue with an outdoor cat next door, and we tried everything in the book to stop this behavior (enzyme cleaners, new mats, Feliway, deterrent spray, litter attractant, to name a few). We threw these mats down, and he hasn't gone near the area since. It's slightly annoying to have them on the front mat because they are noisy when stepped on (and don't step on them in bare feet!), but that's been a small price to pay for a pee-free floor.
