Works well taking sports photos
So far so good, works well. Taken about 1,000 photos using this grip, using one and two batteries. Only once did it not read the battery but fixed quickly.

Good grip for weekend shooter. Great value for the $$.
I purchased this for my canon 7D mkii. I shoot in portrait a lot when shooting basketball. I purchased this battery grip because it had the joystick just like the camera body. Not all battery grips have the feature. I've only used it a few times since I've received it but so far so good. The quality doesn't feel as good as the canon battery grip but the price of the canon grip was out of reach for me as I am not a pro. If I did this as my profession I would buy the canon grip without hesitation. As is mentioned, so far so good. I will update if I have any issues. If no update then no issues so far.

Very satisfied
This has worked very well for me. I like not having to change batteries as often.

Great battery grip for less than half the cost of the canon one. Can't say enough amazing things about this!

Broken
While this seems like a good value, eventually my grip stopped working. Of course, I did not want to pay the high price for the actual Canon grip, but after about a year my grip stopped working. Should have bought the Canon grip.

Not perfect
The grip housing the batteries is not perfect and if you jiggle or shake the camera then the camera will turn off because the grip loses contact with the batteries inside the housing. Although the price of the grip is far less compared to an official Canon you get what you pay for. Because of this issue at least one or two clips of my footage has been compromised each time I use it due to this annoying occurrence.

Works, But Price Reflects the Quality
I've had one of these for about 2 years, and roughly 6 months ago starting having random power failures while shooting. It kept becoming more and more frequent, and I finally did some troubleshooting and determined that the grip, even when secured as tightly as possible to the camera, was flexing just enough that the power pins would lose contact between the body and the grip. I started looking at the grip more closely and noticed that two of the tiny screws on the top plate were loose, which is what was allowing the battery grip to flex. Unfortunately, tightening them isn't an option, as it appears whatever they're supposed to mate with internally has been broken or stripped. The grip is essentially worthless now, as it can't be trusted to maintain power when shooting. Functionally it worked well while it lasted, the controls knobs and buttons are a little cheap and flimsy, but they did the job. I suppose if you're not sure you want a battery grip, this is a good cheap option to use as a trial, but long term save yourself the hassle and buy the real thing, it's built with much better materials (not all plastic like this).

Buttons aren't working (Replacement works)
I purchased this for my 7D mk II and right out of the box it didn't work. The unit passes power to my camera just fine. Unfortunately NONE of the buttons on the grip function. (Regardless of what position the button lock switch is in). Hopefully I just got a dud and the replacement works.Update: Got the replacement in the mail today. It works fine no problems. Everything works as advertised. Im happy.
