This lamp is GIVING. It is sophisticated in an old money, timeless sort of way. I used it in my husband's office, and it looks great. It is masculine but not overbearing. It comes fully assembled, and works great. The lamp shade can swivel to your desired look. I am thrilled by this find.

Lovely! I placed it on my piano for much needed light while teaching. It doesn't get too warm and is a lovely glow. You can adjust the blue shade to face you or away - controlling the light. True to dimensions.

Received the lamp & loved it; was perfect for my needs. Unfortunately, when I plugged it in, the shade had little pin holes in it, allowing the light to come through the outside of the shade rather than down from the shade. Below is a picture describing the defect. I returned the lamp & was sent another; the same problem, only worse. Need better quality control. Just sent the second lamp back. Very disappointed because I really liked it so much.

This is a nice lamp, but things to note: It ‘drops’ down, so you may need to tighten a few screws. Get a warm bulb. The inside is white and therefore doesn’t create that warm, library look automatically- you need a very low watt warm bulb. The gold is very shiny. I bought some brass paint to make mine look a little more antique on the overly shiny gold bits. Much improved!

I was looking for a high-quality lamp that combined my three favorite colors (green, white, and gold) and this one fit the bill perfectly! I ordered the emerald blue lamp I saw in the description but received a black one. The lamp is very bright and is very solid, high quality build. The only thing about the black lamp is the glass is virtually opaque. Pictures I’ve seen of the blue shade on this lamp are more translucent. Other than being the wrong color this lamp is a great value for the price.
